Conference Mission 1. To provide a platform for constructive dia- logue and collaboration between otherwise disparate perspectives that affect develop- ment of evidence based guidelines, their trans- lation to clinical practice, and their value and impact on health care and patient outcomes. 2. To illuminate the perspectives, processes, val- ues, principles, and circumstances that collec- tively impact health care pol- icy and its relationship to sci- entific evidence and clinical practice guidelines. 3. To highlight best practices for guideline development, dis- semination, and implementa- tion for producing clear, ac- tionable, scientifically sound, and trustworthy guidance that can improve quality of care, reduce unexplained variations, and avoid inappropriate or po- tentially harmful interventions.
