In this presentation, Tom Johnson discusses the latest additions to the ETSI TS 102 361 DMR standards suite and looks in detail at some of the powerful new features, including USBD data polling which allows up to 1,000 location reports to be received per minute on a DMR Tier 3 control channel, talk-group subscription and attachment features and data/voice encryption.

    This forum on the specialist field f object supply in the PMeV deals with current developments in object supply. This includes changes to the specifications or the plan-ning, installation and operation of object radio systems from Federal Agency for Digital Radio of Security Author- ities and Organisations (BDBOS) and state agencies. In addition, it deals with new possibilities for connection in the context of the BOSNet to IP conversion and reports on the establishment of metropolitan concepts in the urban environment.

    A notification p ocedure is to be carried out for object radio systems in emergency services digital radio. The notification p ocess is the basis for commissioning by the BDBOS. In the workshop, the authority would like to fa-miliarise planners and installers of object radio systems and the representatives of the federal states involved with the notification p ocess and radio engineering challenges during commissioning. In consultation with the PMeV and the BODeV, participation in the workshop is considered a prerequisite for obtaining the seal of quality awarded by the associations.
