  2. 2. The evaluation visit The purpose of the visit: To evaluate the progress and the quality of the project work (PILOT PROJECTS) Date: 17., 18.   6. 6. 1. UDT ergonomy of workplaces Challenge 1: reception desk accessibility for PWD (already adapted by students for phyiscal disability): Rearangement of the office furniture (desk rotation) Entry door location changed UDT building

UDT ergonomy of workplaces Challenge 2: stairs accessibility for PWD (looking for a solution): A device was bought Usable indoors Not usable for outside stairs (rounded edges, ice, slippery) Fear of falling! CDM Medical Centre Private company Call centre serving 70000 people (in Olenica) Challenge: to adapt 1 callcentre workplace for physically disabled Too narrow (CUBICLE), difficult to access will be adapted by the end of the project) Task for students: antropometric measurement, analysis and proposal One of MD buildings in Siedlce Call centre cubicles

  11. 11. 2. uksja Challenge 1: Adaptation of workplace: Textile layering and cutting machine Ideas: Physically impaired: implementation of a parallel track to move the wheelchair around the machine Visually impaired: adaptation of the control monitor Textile layering and cutting machine
  12. 12. 2. uksja Challenge 2: Mobility: Design a green border around light switches for more contrast (done) Upgrade the glass door (automatic opening for physically impaired) - idea Example of adaptation of light switches for visually impaired
  13. 13. 2. uksja Challenge 3: Office workplace for physically impaired person Rearrangement? Example of office workplace which will be adapted
  14. 14. 2. Workshops at the University - Workshops visited: on braille and computer usage for blind Students listening to the tutor: usage of computer and reader for visually impaired (text-to-speech)
  15. 15. Summary Positive: 4 pilot projects are running A lot of interesting proposals from students Workplaces are already being adapted

Evaluation summary Things to consider: Financial evaluation of the solutions Classification (prioritisation) of the suggestions and solutions e.g. Use Lean six sigma classification framework ground and low hanging fruit Unified methodology for pilot project presentations, e.g.: Source:www.isixsigma.com
