Rubric for self-assessment (below) Purpose The Water Cycle WebQuest was designed for students to learn more about the water cycle and the role each part plays. In this quest, students will explore the 4 parts of the water cycle and create a collage at the end of the quest to present to the class. Task: This section describes the tasks that will be completed. Students will create a poster of the Water Cycle upon completion of the WebQuest. Have students go to the following site to begin the WebQuest and work through each task independently. http://edtech2.boisestate.edu/mitchemh/502/webquest/intro.html Process: This contains a detailed list of steps to complete each task with websites to explore about each part of the Water Cycle. After the WebQuest is completed students will work in groups and make a poster of the water cycle and write a reflection on what they learned. Evaluation: A rubric is provided to allow students to see how their poster/presentation will be graded. This same rubric will be used by the teacher to grade each poster/presentation. Conclusion: This section wraps up what they have learned in the WebQuest. There are links to videos, quizzes and interactive games that the students may complete. Assessment: Sudents will complete a poster on the Water Cycle with facts and a reflection. This product will be assessed with the rubric which can be found in the evaluation section of the WebQuest.
