Dr. A. K. Rokhade Special Officer (Horticulture), University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad M. Sc., (Agriculture) Ph. D., Heads Post-harvest processing department, co-ordinator for B. Tech. programme on Food Processing. Has more than 40 years experience in horticulture. Practical experience in ethylene ripening of fruits.
Dr. S. M. Hiremath Subject Matter Specialist and Professor (Horticulture), Krishi Vignana Kendra, Saidapur Farm, Dharwad. Expert with practical experience in scientific ripening of fruits. He heads post-harvest handling of fruits and is a Subject Matter Specialist in the subject.
Dr. B. C. Suryanarayana M. Sc., (Agriculture) Ph. D., Doctorate in Agriculture with specialization in Agronomy dealing with production of crops. Gold Medalist and rank holder in post graduate and doctorate degrees. Has sound knowledge in the field of irrigation, plantation and horticulture, animal sciences including dairy, poultry, fisheries and piggery. Practical experience in appraisal techniques of agricultural projects including cash flow analysis, credit management appraisal and credit risk assessment. Has appraised over 4,500 lift irrigation proposals, more than 150 commercial poultry proposals and about 250 plantation and horticulture proposal. Specialist officer in State Bank of India looking after the banks appraisals of Horticulture, Dairy and Poultry. Joined State Bank of India as Rural development Officer (RDO) in 1979, retired as AGM technical in 2012.

Has more than 10 years practical experience in manufacture and setting up cold chambers, ripening units, chilling plants, refrigeration units. Has set up more than 15 banana ripening units of 40 tonnes and higher capacity ripening units.
Shri. S. R. Patil Senior Asst. Director of Horticulture, Bailhongal. He is very active in intermediating implementation of several horticulture development programmes in the taluk. He has been
mainly influential in setting up of the first ripening unit in the taluk. He has also formed several farmers’ groups for growing of fruits and vegetables systematically in the taluk. Takes keen interest in integrating the production and marketing efforts of fruit and vegetable growers.
