BloggerUsed to track my progress throughout the course for my research that has influenced my video and digipak immensely. I've also been able to come up with a plan on when I will conduct filming and what materials I will need- therefore blogger has helped me to remain organised throughout the course. Another use of blogger has been that I've been able to receive feedback from my peers and teachers, in which this feedback has allowed me to progress throughout the course.Blogger has allowed me to anaylsis my progress against my peers throughout the course, and to have constant access to tips and inspiration off my teachers blog. I personally found blogger easy to use and a highly effective tool. Blogs such as Viktor Vauthier’s blog have been a constant source of inspiration for the photography aspect of the course.
IphoneMy iphone has allowed me to keep in constant contact with my artist, to ensure that filming will go ahead on the days that I've set. I've also used my phone to play music on set of the filming, so that the lip-syncing can be as accurate as possible. I've also used my phone to show my artist images and video's that I've aspired to base my video and digipak on.
Final Cut Pro XFinal cut has allowed me to create my video. I've also been using final cut throughout the filming proccess to review the footage I've taken to see if I need to refilm or not. I've experimented with different aspects of final cut such as effects and transitions, to see what would work for my video and what wouldn't.With this software I’ve been able to produce a high quality video with accurate cuts between shots.
TwitterSocial networking has allowed me to build up a feel of anticipation for the release of my video. I've mirrored how real artists build up an excitement for the release of their video, through using photo's of the filming of the video.
PhotoshopPhotoshop has been incredibly useful when I needed to create my digipak. I've used photoshop to edit my photo's used, to increase their quality
Picmonkey I was keen on achieving a high quality photo to place on the front panel of my digipak, as I believe that the image on the digipak is what attracts the target market towards the album. I used this app to edit the photo, by changing the colours in the photo and adding edits such as Sepia onto the photo- to create the look I wanted.
SLR CameraI used an SLR camera throughout the photoshoot of my artist. I attempted to photograph my model with the camera on the phone, however the quality was awful ( what I expected would be the case), therefore the achieve the 'look' I wanted, a SLR was a necessity
ScribdI've used scribd throughout both AS and A2, as it's useful to put important research on so that it stands out on the blog. The professional look of scribd has been useful for showcasing aspects of my work.
PolyvoreI've used polyvore to create a visual representation of what outfits my artist will be wearing during both filming and the photo shoot. This has been a highly useful tool for the construction of my research, as I can simply send these sets of outfits to my artist.
