Evaluation Question Four

We did all the editing for our trailer on iMovie on an Apple Mac as it was relatively easy to alter the length of the clips and add the different transitions and the titles. It was also fairly easy to work with the storytelling part to make the speech match up with the clip after the ‘flashback’ part.

We made the music for our trailer on Garagebandas there were a lot of different sound effects to chose from and because it was fairly easy to alter the music and to change the length of different parts.

I made both my poster and my magazine cover on Paint Shop Pro. I could edit the different pictures by changing the brightness, the contrast and the colours to make the trees look both darker and more vibrantly green. I could also work on different layers to create my poster and magazine cover which made it a lot easier to edit.

I used Macromedia Fireworks to create our production company logo because it meant that I could make it animated and look like the words were writing themselves.

I created numerous PowerPoint presentations during the planning and research stages to show all of my research in a clear and organised way.

Slideshare was a necessity to put all of my PowerPoints onto my blog. Through Slideshare I was able to upload all of my PowerPoints onto the internet and then onto my blog.

We used Microsoft Publisher during the evaluation stage to make our audience feedback forms as it was easier to lay out all of the questions.

We used Microsoft Word to analyse the Teddy Bear’s Picnic rhyme as this is where the main idea for our trailer came from. We analysed the full rhyme in order to gain inspiration, to decide what to include in our trailer and to decide on our tagline.

I used bubble.us during the research stage of my coursework to present all of our ideas in an organised way. The image left is half of our main spider diagram that we used when coming up with ideas for out trailer. I also made spider diagrams for different trailers to show how they represent their genres.

This is the main website I used in my coursework. I used blogger to create a blog to showcase all of my work. I uploaded all of the pictures and film clips along with all of the research and the final pieces for my work.

We made both our trailer and the music on different programs on an Apple Mac.

We used a digital camcorder to record our trailer and a digital SLR camera to take the pictures for our posters and our magazine covers. We also used the same camera for our location shots, evidence shots and casting shots.
