What kind of media institutions might distribute your media product and why?

The type of media institution that would distribute my magazine would be IPC which is the International Publishing Corporation since it is the UK’s leading magazine and digital publisher.

The reason that IPC would distribute my magazine would be so that they don’t miss out any of the target audience, so that they can fulfil the needs of every music lover with the different genres, and to make more sales, therefore generating more profit.

How does IPC Media distributed its media product and why does it do it in that way?

IPC Media distributes its media products via tablets, mobiles, online and at events. The reason it distributes its media products in such various ways is to allow the audience to access it more easy, thus generating more people to see it, and getting more people to buy it.

Since, IPC Media is a big media institutions because it distributes magazines like the one below, I will try to follow the ways in which it distributes its magazines by doing it in a variety of ways , such as on print and online.

The kinds of media businesses that would buy my media product would be newsagents like the Spar and the Co-op or the post office since they sell a lot of magazines. Also small corner shops would distribute my magazine because they also will sell a lot of magazines.

In addition, bigger supermarkets might distribute my magazine, because even though most people will buy magazines from there local newsagents, people do still buy magazines from supermarkets.

The reason that these institutions would distribute my magazines is to generate money and make a profit.

In addition online websites might distribute my magazine because since technology has improved, a lot of people now buy things online since it is more convenient

Like with the shops and supermarkets the reason that online websites will distribute my magazine will be to generate a profit.

The reason that all of these institutions will distribute my magazine will also be so that there is more choice in the genre of magazines to choose from so that everybody’s needs is catered for.
