Evaluation question 2: How effective is the combination of your main product

and ancillery tasks?

I think my whole promotional package ties together extremely well; primarily, I have used an image of Sarah, the modern day character in our trailer, on both my poster and magazine. This creates synergy between the two, which is reinforced by the old-fashioned writing on the magazine, which links in with the old image on the poster. This links in with the fact that the trailer is a flashback into the past. Furthermore, the fact that, in my poster, Sarah is holding a letter which has a hole burnt through the middle links in with the arson theme in the trailer; the fact that the 19th century image appears to be literally and metaphorically burning through the letter into the modern image symbolises that Sarah is affected by her past; this is reinforced by the poster’s tagline “What Will Your Past Unveil?”. Overall, I think I have demonstrated thorough synergy throughout my main product and ancillary tasks.
