HOW EFFECTIVE IS THE COMBINATION

OF YOUR MAIN PRODUCT AND

ANCILLARY TEXT

• We have been told to produce a promotional package with magazine advert and a cd cover for or ancillary text. We have been looking at different types of cd cover and adverts. I had

researched many cd covers in the genre POP/Rnb in which we had established our artist

to be. I have researched usher, Chris brown,rihanna and other many artist

aswell,they have given me few ideas to create my own product.

Our music video, album cover and magazine advert all worked effectively as you can see. Together they all are bold and full of bright colours.it was important to edit everything even our footage to make it bold and have a high contrast of colour. When looking at our research and planning and our three products they reflect well and link back our mood board.

The advert is eye-catching with the vibrant colour red and brown.I liked the idea of having an image of the cd on the actual poster.howevern one thing I felt was that the poster would need more colour on it to suit the rest of the ancillary.in the end I used the same fonts and images from the ancillary and changed the contrast of the artist to make it more outstanding. I then used the layout and ideas I have found from my research to design the final piece.

We did several audience research to find out what kind of taste they got in music ,clothing and accessories and we found out that hats,hoodies,makeup and fashionable clothing was a must as well pop being the most favourable genre. Then we finally know our target audience .our target audience were 12-20 years old

I made an attempt to meet the make up style of teenage girls as you can the make up include eyeliner, eye shadow,foudation,blusher and lipgloss.i believe these are the typical make up that are inside every teenage girls bag.
