Each gastric specimen underwent PCR, culture and histological exam- inations. Serology and +- C῎UBT analyses were also performed before or after en- doscopy. The sensitivity and specificity were as follows ; for PCR : 3240腉 and +**腉, for culture : 3*4-腉 and +**腉, for the histological examination : 204+腉 and +**腉, for +- C῎UBT : 3-4+腉 and 3/42腉, and for serology : 3240腉 and 114+腉.
