“Great Line up of speakers, great workshops and energetic chairs to keep things moving. Valuable investment of time.”

Delivering a FinTetch Network conference takes 6 months of work to fully research, build and then market the programme. It’s a big undertaking with much upfront investment, but one that we find immensely rewarding. It is the main vehicle through which we achieve our mission statement of being an independent influencer who challenges the status quo and promotes positive change within the industry.
When I set out to build the programme for RBI EU 2018, I did so with a single, clear objective in mind – to make sense of the choices facing banks. With the convergence of several dynamics, it’s clear we’re in the midst of the most significant period of transformation to impact banking in 200 years. Those influences include:
• A proactive regulatory agenda to promote innovation and increase competition, manifested through the roll out of the Open Banking Standard and PSD2 in 2018
• The adoption of new technologies like AI, advanced banking platforms and analytic tools that are enabling banks to deliver channel agnostic, personalised experiences
• The increased number of collaborations between banks and fintech’s that are a feature of the new platform or market place models of banking
• Changing customer behaviours and expectations that demand banks keep pace with out of sector leaders around digital experience and customer experience
Time will determine who the winners and losers are going to be, but not everyone can succeed in the new era of banking and the landscape won’t look the same in a few years’ time. My aim is to help you navigate this period of disruption and to give you tools and practical information to help your business succeed in the new era of banking.
The programme I’ve built not only looks at the business case for change and the new models available to banks but also at how, in practice, to begin the process of adapting, modernising and digitalising their businesses in a way that is commercially viable and felt by the customer.
I hope that you can join us in London in March to be a part of these discussions.
