The K.E.R.N.-Region, like other European regions, increasingly needs to co-operate at the regional-transnational level to increase their competitiveness as places for settlement, business, and job creation

To interpret and implement ICZM as pro-active tool to facilitate regional development based on the regions maritime resources, the exchange of experience and know-how among key sectors and stakeholders needs to be improved and facilitated
