Where do I fly to and from for my vacation package? You will fly into Nuremberg, Germany where you will be met and transferred to the Amras Amadeus Silver II. Celebrity Cruises will arrange your flight from Budapest to Istanbul after your 7 night River Cruise. When your Celebrity Cruise ends you will fly home from Rome. Your transfer to the airport is included. Please note Choice Air is available for this Celebrity Exploration package.

Would I Need a Visa to travel? Citizens of the United States and Canada may need to apply in advance for a tourist visa to visit Turkey. A passport valid for at least six months is required. Will I require any medications of immunizations? You do not need any medications or immunizations to visit the European Union. If you have any medical questions or concerns we would recommend you make an appointment with your personal physician who knows your medical history or a travel clinic at least two months prior to departure to review any necessary vaccinations and medications.

What kind of clothes should I be packing for my river cruise? Life is smart casual aboard the fleet of Amras river cruises. While on shore excursions we recommend you wear light clothing and comfortable walking shoes and also bring a pullover or jacket for cooler days or evenings. Remember to bring dressier shoes for the evenings.

What Currency is used on the river cruise? The Euro is the currency used aboard the vessel.

What type of electricity is on board? Electricity on board all Amadeus ships is 110V and 220V.

What are the dining options on the river cruise? Dining onboard consists of single-seating meal service during specified times for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is no room service onboard.

How is dining assigned on board the river cruise? You will be assigned a table prior to embarkation. Table assignment will be provided onboard.

What drinks are included on the river cruise? Water, coffee and tea are complimentary with all meals. Juices are complimentary with breakfast. Soft drinks, beer and regional wines are complimentary with lunch and dinner.

What if I have special dining needs? We can accommodate special diets including vegetarian, low sugar, low salt and kosher.

Can I bring an animal onboard the river cruise? No, only service dogs may be permitted onboard with prior approval.

Is there a casino onboard the river cruise? No.




Are there any age restrictions on the river cruise? Children 12-years of age and older are permitted to travel with Amras Cruises. Staterooms are double occupancy only and there are no connecting cabins. There are no planned activities or children’s menus onboard.

What is the alcohol beverage policy onboard the river cruise? The minimum drinking age for all alcoholic beverages is 18. Wine and spirits are permitted to be brought onboard from port purchases – however, they may not be consumed in public areas.

What is the Smoking policy on the river cruise? All Amras ships are non-smoking. There is an outdoor designated area on the sun deck where smoking is permitted.

When will I get my Stateroom assignment on the river cruise? The river cruise stateroom assignment will be done after final payment as follows:• Concierge class and above will be assigned to Category A river cruise stateroom• Category 8 to FV will be assigned to Category B river cruise stateroom

How is the weather? The climate in Europe is very dependent on the time of year that you visit and the countries you visit as well. Most cruises take place in Western Europe during the late spring, summer, and early fall. In countries such as France, the Netherlands, Germany and Switzerland the climate is quite temperate during these months. Summers are typically warm and high temperatures range from 65 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Low temperatures are between 55 and 75 during these months, and as for spring and fall it is cooler of course, but temperatures vary greatly based on the geography of the river cruise. The Eastern European countries of Slovakia and Hungary on the Danube cruises will be slightly cooler on average than the Rhine, Rhone, and Southern France Sonata cruises, but temperatures will be pleasant as the cruises are planned around the optimum times of the year to travel to these countries.

What are the cancellation penalties?The following Package Cancellation schedule and fees apply (days prior to travel departure date): • 180 or more days = no penalty; • 120 to 180 days = $450; • 90 to 119 days = 25%; • 60 to 89 days = 50% of total price less taxes and fees; • 21 to 59 days = 80% of total price less taxes and fees; • and 21 days or less = No refund less taxes and fees.
