Communications infrastructure� 14 VSAT (Very Small Aperture Terminal) stations

� AFTN (Aeronautical Fixed Telecommunication Network) is replaced by the AMHS (ATS Message Handling System).

� 3 OLDI (Online Data Interchange) links are operational with Canary, Seville and LisbonCanary, Seville and Lisbon

Communications infrastructure� An update is planned for expansion of the network through the installation of 5 additional VSAT stations

� An additional OLDI link is planned with Algeria� Morocco plan to deploy CPDLC (Controller Pilot Data Link

� Implementation of direct routes in partnership with SJU, NAV-Portugal and TAP in the frame of AIRE project

� Launch of a study to analyz and reorganiz Moroccan airspace"AREA-M" which aims to develop the best suited business "AREA-M" which aims to develop the best suited business model to meet the expected demand in the short, medium and long term

� other projects are under study in partnership with adjacent FIR

� Since 15 November 2012, 19 airways are classified as "RNAV 5 "

The Moroccan PBN Plan is set over three periods:

� Short term (2013/2017);

� Medium term (2018/2022), and� Medium term (2018/2022), and

� Long-term (2023 and beyond).

� The Short-term (2013/2017)� This first phase is a transition step starting from the existing resources in terms of radio navigation stations installed and on board equipment already existing. Its objectives are to:board equipment already existing. Its objectives are to:� implement job instances defined to validate with all stakeholders the

working hypotheses,

� continue the deployment of already begun PBN operations in Moroccan airspace, based on identified priorities.

� Different navigation specifications are to be used to accompany this transition, depending on the phase of flight:this transition, depending on the phase of flight:

� En-Route: RNAV5;

� Terminal: RNAV1 or RNP 1;

� approach RNP APCH (and discussions launched on RNP AR APCH).

� The Medium term (2018/2022)

� This second phase aims to consolidate the choices and assumptions done in the initial phase. The main objective is to assumptions done in the initial phase. The main objective is to strengthen the changes introduced by the first phase and boost profits due to PBN paths by implementing more accurate navigation specifications.

� The Medium term (2018/2022)

� Different navigation specifications are to be used to support this phase:� En route: RNAV5 (and reflections thrown on the application of Advanced

RNP);� Terminal Space: RNAV1 (and reflections thrown on the application of

Advanced RNP);� approach RNP APCH and RNP-AR-APCH.

The assumptions used below for the period 2018/2022 will be gradually adjusted to the international work.

� The third phase will be characterized by the implementation of the regulation known as "IR PBN“, and in particular, the the regulation known as "IR PBN“, and in particular, the implementation of the mandatory onboard equipment that will be defined by this regulation.
