• (Chapter 5) First Aid & SafetyAvoid letting students travel the hallways to get band-aids or ice for fake injuries. In the event of a severe

injury, do not move the student. Send 2 students for help, and stay with the student.

• Do not give out medicine to students.

• Do not handle blood or other bodily fluids. This includes a student who is “barely” bleeding—allow that child to put on his/her own band-aid.

• Encourage students to use the hand-sanitizer or wash their hands before meals/snacks, and after using the restroom to avoid exposure to germs.
