Today’s youth ministry requires that it’s leadership be above reproach. “Youth
leaders need to understand the ethical implications of working with young people”
(Banks, 2010, p. 22). It is imperative as a youth leader to establish and set the proper
boundaries up front.
Knowing and following the ever changing laws, rules and regulations that are a part
of the cultural mix of today’s world is paramount for anyone working with youth. They
must go above and beyond the call of duty to make sure that there is not even a hint of
evil within their ministry.
This PowerPoint presentation will explain the various ethical implications facing
youth workers today. Including methods and or strategies that can help avoid the
potential pitfalls in these areas.

CONCLUSION
In the process of developing a holistic youth ministry, the youth leader must
account for the fact that they are human and most capable of making mistakes.
Being transparent is important to establishing boundaries and setting an example
that says’, “I may not be perfect but I am perfectly ethical in my motives when
dealing with young people”
Setting the proper boundaries up front is paramount to not being tricked by
the enemy in to making a mistake that is unacceptable from an ethical standpoint.
Therefore, the youth minister is needs to set up the proper procedures for not
only themselves but for all the adult leaders to adhere too. They should create
strong accountability partners so that they can recognize the early stages of the
