When released remove the end cap with attached ink cartridge. Then separate the ink cartridge from the end cap. Step 4 Insert the new ink cartridge of choice into the end cap. Make sure it is firmly in place. Before reinserting the ink cartridge make sure that your spring has not fallen out of the pen, if this has happen place a new spring in your pen housing. Now insert the ink cartridge back into the pen housing. Apply pressure to the retractable release button and push the end cap back into the pen.
Now that the cartridge is back in the housing make sure that your pen fully retracts and returns to its closed position when the retract button is pressed.
If your pen doesn’t retract fully remove the end cap and readjust your spring as this is more than likely the issue.
