A personal timeline of educational technology

OverviewMy name is Denduang Boutonglang (Goong)I started school in 1987 in Nongnumkhun School,

Sikhiu, Korat, Thailand.I graduated from high school in 1999 in Sikhiu

School, Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand.I first went to college at Rajabhat Institute

Nakhon Ratchasima in 1999When I finished my degree, I hoped to become a

good teacher. Now, I am trying to pursue a master’s degree for exploring my experiences about learning.

My definition of educational technology

The 21st learners should have more effective learning behaviors and automatically incorporate the use of modern technologies both inside and outside classroom. Also, becoming a lifelong learners.

Students will be able to access all lessons via using Educational technology that can help them to capture and to understand the circumstance around them. They must be creative and independent in learning.

Kindergarten technology Teacher must hold three main objectives for fulfilling learners to become a knowledgeable learner with: •Introducing basic computer skills through Internet games• Reinforce Kindergarten skills through Integration• Develop an appreciation of/excitement for computer usage

High school technology

Many modern technologies has influencing students’ lives. Mobile phone, Internet, Chatroom and so forth are very popular among younger learners. Teachers should learn how to use it for fulfilling their learning. For example, using chatroom to online exchange or discuss the lessons, using SMS for reminding the task, etc.

College technologyAssigning adult learners via using various kinds of technologies can explore them through the educational technology environments. So, they can gain more knowledge and learn individually.

Guiding them how to search the benefit information based on their areas. Doing research or scholar paper by accessing into the online resources more effective.

A vivid technology learning experience

folks online.• Drop box is the great ideas for sharing files

• Window media player is a wonderful program to make video files.

A technology I want to use in my classroom

• The basic technology that I can use in my classroom are including audio files, DVD, TV, computer, and also educational software program such as Ms-office, movie maker, painting etc.

My vision of the classroom of the future

• I would like to improve students learning behaviors to become an effective and modernized learners who have experienced in using technologies in learning.

A challenge for teaching

• What do you see as a challenge or barrier to using technology in your teaching or future career?
