Establishing an Integrated Crash Database with Existing Data Systems for Traffic Safety Analysis
Ms Ching-Huei Lai Chinese Taipei
TPT-WG29, Chinese Taipei
29th APEC Transportation Working Group Meeting, Chinese Taipei, 9-13 July 2007
Background
To study traffic crashes in more aspects & greater detail based on Haddon matrix structure.–e.g. violation crash
–e.g. medical care crash
To have comparable data, e.g.:–fatalities 24 hr 30 days≦ ≦–injury severity: AIS/ISS

Conclusions
Integrated crash database offers the opportunity to
have cheap and effective data for research.
Future: extending to other data systems and research
aspects in the Haddon matrix.
