Citronella oil (Citronellae aeth.)In folk medicine, the oil is used for sedation and relaxation. Its application area thus comprises inner agitation and subjective nervous disorders of well-being. – The oil is indigenous to South India. Citronella grass essential oil is obtained by steam distillation.

Marjoram herb oil (Origani aeth.)Oregano invigorates the nerves, acts as a antispasmodic, and is accordingly used for nervous headaches, anxiety states, migraines and insomnia. Moreover, experience shows it is effective for colds and disorders of the respiratory organs, as well as promotes hair growth. Because of its high phenol content, the oil is one of the strongest natural antibiotics, and has a powerful antiviral effect.

Spruce needle oil (Piceae aeth.)The oil acts as an antibacterial and anti-inflammatory agent. Externally, it is used for rheumatic and neuralgic complaints, and internally for catarrhic disorders of the upper and lower air passages. – The oil is also a component of Nr. Essence II.

Lavender oil (Lavandula aeth.)In folk medicine, this oil is used externally for sedation, for tension, states of exhaustion, migraines and headaches. Moreover, it is used to treat badly healing wounds, rheumatic and arthritic disorders and pain. Mixed with other oils, it defends against cold illnesses and stimulates the circulation.

Rosemary oil (Rosmarini aeth.) in sulphurized linseed oil (Lini oeleum)This oil is employed externally for adjuvant therapy of rheumatic disorders and for the treatment of circulatory complaints. Because of its circulation stimulation and "animating" effect, it is an important neural agent for headaches, shaking, depression and exhaustion. Because of its spasmolytic characteristic, it is employed externally for asthma, bronchitis, cold and influenza. Traditionally, it is also massaged onto the scalp for the treatment of

Rosemary oil (Rosmarini aeth.) in sulphurized linseed oil (Lini oeleum)hair loss. – Sulphur has a callus-dissolving and anti-inflammatory effect. Traditionally, sulphureous mineral springs help in the treatment of rheumatism, gout and eczema. Paracelsus and Hahnemann describe the preparation of so-called sulphurous balsams which are a combination of linseed oil and sulphur (linseed oil has a high share of unsaturated fatty acids and can thereby bind sulphur). – Linseed oil is especially friendly to the skin. Hildegard von Bingen has noted: »And he who was somewhere burned by fire on his body, he should cook linseed in water at great heat and dip a linen cloth in the water, and lay it warm on the location where he was burned and the cloth will draw the burn out.«

Verbena oil (Verbeanae aeth.)Folk medicine employs the oil of the verbena externally for circulatory disorders, for sedation and wound healing, as well as for birthing problems.
