The Virgin Islands government is already saving a million dollars a year on utility bills through the implementation of an energy-savings contract for the Department of Education. Officials hope that this latest contract signed on Jan. 22. 2014 will result even more savings than that. The industrial-grade energy audit which will determine what measures will be taken at the hospital was to begin the week following the contract signing.
