What is the real fact?

Most electrical equipment in Europe and in some other countries is designed and manufactured to run at 220 V.Incoming voltage flow typically around 230 V (+-10 %) – (between 207 V – 253 V ). For sites in Europe – is brought to the optimum operating level for most equipment at around 220 V. 90 % of premises have an average of 230 V especially in U.K 242 V.

Equipment downstream will then consume less energy than with the over-voltage conditions. In motors over-voltage drives the core into saturation which causes waste heat. Detail energy screening of a site is a method which used by ES Electronics to tell our client how precisely the saving have been delivered by their ES Low Loss Impedance System unit installation. This method has been developed with the experience of successful result carried out for many different applications from simple to complex.

Also we adopted the method of IPMVP (International Performance Measurement & Verification Protocol) standard for evaluating energy projects.

Our approaches to energy analysis are as follows:

ES Electronics unit is a technology is built to improve the efficiency of your entire site, so we are not acting on a single piece of electrical equipment like other energy saving companies.

The saving from ES unit can be seen from the main electric meter, so the source of data is theelectricity bill.

Before we install a ES unit, we go for a detail energy screening to understand and com-pare for what the electricity bill is paid. We will arrange a site visit to collect more detailed information regarding the client’s energy profile including benchmarking the client’s energy consumption and peak demands. If the client is not already using an hourly meter ES Team arrange to monitor the current usage. Later the hourly meter monitoring data analyses helps the customer to see the proof of savings by ES unit before and after installation.

Our screening report is done by the following method:

1. Your highest hourly maximum demand in kW or kVA in the last year for each of the in-coming supplies to your building (if not available we recommend to install a measuring meter at least for 48 hours for hourly maximum demand in kW or kVA)

2. Your total kWh consumption for the last 24 months on each incoming supply

3. Your estimated cost per kWh, including CCL, for the next 12 months

a) Checking the connected loads, motor or lighting or mixed load

b) In case of light load, find out what types of lights has been used

c) In case of motor load, find out kW and horse power or amperes

d) Running time of equipment’s, 8 hous, 12 hours or 24 hours

Testing device

A testing ES unit will be installed at your site, which will take simply 15 minutes to install and will run for 30 minutes in bypass mode and 30 minutes in ES pre-calculated with a recommen-ded Optimization level output mode to analyze the savings.

ES Electronics unit is simply connected to the total electrical load, at its source in the facility’s electrical intake room, in series between the main switch and the distribution. No other connections are necessary.

Installation is very easy, our engineering team is not demanding much of your time, at your convenient time, we deliver the units, so either your or our technicians can start the pre work.Our experienced engineering team will project and manage the installation of ES units from start to finish.

Each of our Contractors and Dealers are well trained to full fill the needs of the customer from installation to on line service. All our specialized electrical sub-contractors carry a minimum of € 5million liability insurance.

Once ES unit is set up, no further adjustments are required and the unit will run 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

The engineering team work with our network of experienced electrical contrac-tors to undertake the site survey and installation.

Installation will be arranged at a time that best suits to your operational require-ment. Our ES unit installation will take not more than 2–5hours according to the unit size.

We take full responsibility for the work of all our contractors, who are rigorously vetted by our specialist Engineering Team.

Technical information & security of supply

The ES Electronics Technology is designed to solve number of common power supply problems in one single unit. Uniquely, all these improvements are achieved through the internal interaction of magnetic fields, with no active suppression or compensation, meaning that no moving parts orelectronics are required for its function.

It means the technology has the best reliability which cannot be compared with any other technology in the market.

The ES Technology offers following primary functions:

1. Incoming voltage – typically around 230 V (+-10 %) for sites in Eu-rope – is brought to the optimum operating level for most equip-ment at around 220 V. Equipment downstream will then consume less energy than with the over-voltage conditions. In motors over-voltage drives the core into saturation which causes waste heat. The ES Technology corrects this with 99.95 % efficiency across its entire operating range.

2. ES units is a high efficiency device, which optimizes the volta-ge (Static or dynamically) as the energy consumed increases in approximately square of input voltage, hence, the output energy would reach a minimum, beyond which the energy consumed will be wasted.

3. The ES Technology regulates and balances the 3 phase AC mo-tors. The phase balancing itself increases the efficiency of motors.

4. A harmonic filter is a part of ES units which helps the Total Harmonic Distortion reducing the 3rd 5th and 7th harmonics. It is known that the harmonics are causing damage to electronic equipment thus, reduces the efficiency of HV transformers, this function helps energy savings.

5. Power quality improvement – the installation of ES unit automatically improves the Power Factor of a site from 4–11 % which adds the benefit to Power Factor Corrector which exists already in a site, thus adding more value by reducing the reactive power. All ES units are compatible to this type of power factor correction (PFC)

6. The ES units will protect a site from transients up to 10.000 kW, these voltage spikes having a devastating effect on sensitive electronic equip-ment. It guards the IT systems. The ES - (LLI system) has all of above features, but also has the ability to select its own optimization settings in response to fluctuations in the level of supply voltage. It is also able to correct under voltage to ensure your site receives an optimized supply at all times.

7. Optimization settings are selected by means of Thyristor-based control module, which has noisefree switching and complete reliability. An authorized user can adjust the supply voltage online and on-load through the unit‘s user interface, which can easily interface with a PLC or other control system.
