We are called " Stay Rooted " because we don't just want to plant trees and protect our nipiy (water), but we are also rooted within our culture, teachings, stories and traditions. We want to share the Importance of em-bracing culture through meaningful designs and apparel. Being rooted provides us with a sense of belonging and helps us remember who we are and where we come from as Nêhiyaw ( Cree) people, and as Nêhiýaw people we are people of the land. It’s important we stay rooted In the land and we believe we have a responsibility to protect and preserve our kikâwînaw askiy (Mother Earth) & nipiy (Water). Our hope is to Inspire and motivate others on their journey to continue giving back to the land, protecting our nipiy (water) and help end the First Nation water crisis within Canada. We strongly believe that everyone should have the right to clean drinking water. With your purchase, " Stay Rooted " is able to take ac-tion and give back to our people and kikâwînaw askiy (Mother Earth). For every item you buy we will plant 5 trees, we also started a nipiy (water) fund where we will
donate 10 percent of proceeds made so we can provide a family with a water filtration system in a First Nation community. Our goal for the future is to plant thousands of trees across Canada and provide more than one family with a water filtration system. We hope you will follow our jour-ney.
