These posters were never an assignment, but merely a way of showing how type can transform words that are considered vulgar into some-thing completely different and unexpected, somethingalmost comical.

The reasoning behind the ear-ly 20th century look and feel was during that era, profanity was never used in public therefore, I thought it would be an in-teresting twist.

DESENSE (pronounced decency) is a clothing company specializing in jack-ets and hooded sweaters specifically designed for autistic teens and adults. DESENSE was created to give autistic individuals the freedom to travel in public without the fear of overstimu-lation. These custom jackets and hood-ies are embedded with HB3 technology, allowing the individual to listen to music through their clothing. We have also equipped the clothing with desen-sitizing agents called sensory pouches to provide additive help when music may not be enough. At DESENSE, we be-lieve that every autistic individual has the right to express themselves, and why not do it by looking good too?
