PURE-SCREEN 100 SERIES WEDGE-WIRE FILTER RANGEThis versatile, robust range of fi lters consists of a Standard and Compact option and is ideally suited for applications where the highest quality has been specifi ed and where product consistency is essential.
PURE-SCREEN STANDARD FILTER• 316L wedge-wire screen• 316L stainless steel 4” OD housing• Metal to metal seal (no internal ‘O’ ring)• Interchangeable fi lter elements• Suitable for backfl ushing, CIP (clean-in-place) and SIP (steam-in-place)
CERTIFICATION
The Pure-Screen Filter range is manufactured in accordance with ASME- BPE principles and has material traceability to BS EN 10204 (3.1). The following certifi cation can also be supplied if required:
• Weld logging• Weld markup• Internal and external surface roughness• Pressure test• Passivation• Ferroxyl test
CUSTOMISED FILTERSOur fi lters can be fabricated to customer specifi cation and include a high capacity 6” body design, jacketed design for product heating or cooling, duplex and a stand alone design, complete with framework. Sample valves, drain or vent valves can be integrated into any of the options as can isolation or backfl ush valves if required.

PURE-SCREEN COMPACT FILTERA smaller and compact version of the Pure-Screen Standard Filter designed specifi cally for installation in confi ned spaces or where fl ow rates of up to 20,000 litres per hour (based on clean water) are required.
A 316 stainless steel safety clamp closure is standard on all Pure-Screen fi lters which can only be released when the wing nut has been signifi cantly loosened to enable the
smaller diameter of the gate bolt to swing and pass
through the sectioned gate

ECON SCREEN 75 SERIES - TECHNICAL DATA
TYPICAL APPLICATIONS
The Pure-Screen 100 Series wedge-wire filter range has a rugged construction with collapse pressures 2-6 x the maximum operating pressure of the filter. This makes it ideal for critical applications where lter failure or collapse is not an option i.e. final product filtration. This versatile range of filters is ideally suited for applications where product smoothness and consistency are essential.
To complement our range of wedge-wire and perforated sheet filter screens, we have introduced a sintered mesh option which is ideally suited for fine particulate applications requiring filtration levels below 75 micron such as those associated with water, pharmaceutical, food, beverage and chemical industries. • Manufactured in 316L stainless steel
• Compatible with both Pure-Screen and Econ-Screen filter ranges
• Suitable for CIP (cIean-in-place), SIP (steam-in-place)
• Offers excellent strength and rigidity

The adjacent filter curves show atypical flow v. pressure drop withpure water at 20 ºC using a Pure-Screen 100 Series 90º type filterconfiguration. Specific curves areavailable for each filter size ifrequired. The flowrate will fall andteh pressure drop will rise whenfluids other rahn water are used. The cahnge will be influenced bythe viscosity and crucially by thedebris loading in the feed.
