Chapter Challenges Each of the movie genres below is paired with a challenge for your Chapter to complete this year. A report by

the Master Councilor outlining how your chapter completed them, or as many as it could, is to be submitted to

the PA DeMolay Office by June 1, 2017. The prize will be presented at Convention.

Start a project, mission, or service that benefits your world

in a specific way not heard of in PA DeMolay. Action

Attend the Stated Meeting of the Chapter in possession

of the Judge. Take it from them, if you dare. Sports Start a program in your Chapter that

encourages participation, like an attendance

incentive or pre-meeting game gathering. Fantasy/Take initiative to thank or give back to your

sponsoring body or meeting place. Romance Visit the public meeting of both a Masonic Body

and another Masonic Youth Group.

With a new year comes new rewards for your recruitment efforts. Above, you will see a pyramid. In it, are

many great items that are yours to have if you are the first-line signer on a specific amount of petitions. Your

prize will be determined by the number of members you bring in. The formula is simple: Step 1) Take the

number of new members you’ve first-line signed this term. Step 2) Find that number on the pyramid. Step 3)

You win that prize AND everything below it. The objective: bring in a lot of friends, win a lot of prizes. So

what are you waiting for? Go out and bring in your friends, family, neighbors, and anyone you believe is

worthy of calling himself a DeMolay, and all of this can be yours.

Quarterly Contests Due: Check-in at Jacquestoberfest Weekend

Contest: INDIVIDUAL ART CONTEST

Description: Create, using any reasonable medium, anything about or relating to DeMo-

lay. Participants may only submit one work.

Prize: The three winners will each receive a pair of Hobbit feet

Due: Check-in at Convention

Contest: GROUP VIDEO CONTEST

Description: Video must be between 1 and 3 minutes. Any size team. This can be a DeMo-

lay recruitment video or scenes of famous movies being reenacted.

Entire Chapters or groups within multiple chapters may enter.

Either have it on a flash drive or email it to [email protected]

Prize: The 2 best groups will each receive a Kan Jam set.

Due: Check-in at Movie Mashup Weekend

Contest: POETRY/SONG CONTEST

Description: Par ticipants can submit a poem under 1000 words, or a less-than-3-minute

song. The top-3 will be performed by the authors live at Convention.

Prize: The top-3 will also each receive bungee chairs.

Due: Opening Session at Cowboys vs. Aliens Weekend

Contest: INDIVIDUAL GADGET CONTEST

Description: Par ticipants will design, invent, or create a safe invention that will make an

aspect of DeMolay easier. Participants may only submit one gadget.

Prize: 1st place will receive a Star Trek Badge.

Smaller prizes will be awarded to second and third place.

It will be monitored daily, so never be afraid to ask for help when it comes to your Ritual needs.

Ritual Database Entry Form or ask an Elected State Officer at any Patton Weekend for a paper copy.

2: You can participate in and will be commended for participating in Installations for your home Chapter

and any other Chapter in the state.

This year, the Mid Atlantic Tournament of Champions (or MATOC)

will be held in Gettysburg, PA from September 9th—September

11th. We will be sending teams to compete in many categories, and

your Chapter can send a team too! Talk to your Chapter Advisor and

ESOs about joining ritual teams or forming your own.
