Description This course aims to give general information about
pharmacology to the students; definition of pharmacology,
pharmacokinetics (absorption, distribution,
biotransformation and breakthrough), pharmacodynamics
(drug effect, interactions of drugs with each other) . The toxic effects of drugs will be taught. Drugs that affect the central nervous system, cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive system will be examined.
Topics include endocrine system pharmacology, hormonal contraceptives, urinary system antiseptics, antibacterial drugs, antifungal drugs, antiprotozoal drugs, antihelmintic drugs, antiviral drugs, anticancer drugs.
