13. Part A: Sample Answer: If x = 15, then 9(15) = 135 > 27, not less than 27. Since this value of x does not satisfy the inequality, Connor is incorrect. Part B: Sample Answer: The values of x that make the inequality true are any x-value less than 3. I found my answer by dividing both sides of the inequality by 9. I used this operation because it’s the inverse operation of multiplication, which is the operation shown between the 9 and x.
