McClelland College has two elite programs for our Year 7 students to choose from and for which to apply: EP Plus and the Elite Performance Program (EPP). The EPP recognises and allows for students to be elite performers in any subject and to excel in their chosen field/s. We will be taking applications later in the year with more information to follow. Applications for EPP will be due September 8 th 2017 followed by an interview with the Year 7 team. The diagram below shows the progression of the two elite programs through the College. Progression of EPP Progression of EPPlus 7/8 EPP •EPP students will have priority entry into the MAP of their elite performance. •Extension will occur in their area/s of strength. Year 9 •At year 9 students will be counselled into the elecOve of their elite performance. •Extension will occur in their area/s of strength. Year 10 •At year 10 students will be eligible for early entry into the VCE/VET subject of their elite performance. EP Plus •Select entry class at years 7 and 8. •Students must sit a test to gain access to class. •This is an academic extension class. 10+ •Students selected through tesOng data. •Goal is to acheive an A grade at the end of years 9 and 10 unless otherwise negoOated with their classroom teacher. Aspire Higher •Students selected through PAT results and teacher recommendaOons. •Goal is to achieve a study score of 40+.
