2:7 Thou madest him a little lower than theangels; thou crownedst him with glory andhonour, and didst set him over the works of thyhands:

2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a littlelower than the angels for the suffering of death,crowned with glory and honour; that he by thegrace of God should taste death for every man.

2:15 And deliver them who through fear ofdeath were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

2:16 For verily he took not on [him the natureof] angels; but he took on [him] the seed ofAbraham.

2:17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him tobe made like unto [his] brethren, that he mightbe a merciful and faithful high priest in things[pertaining] to God, to make reconciliation forthe sins of the people.
4:1. Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise beingleft [us] of entering into his rest, any of youshould seem to come short of it.

4:7 Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying inDavid, To day, after so long a time; as it is said,To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not yourhearts.

4:8 For if Jesus had given them rest, thenwould he not afterward have spoken of anotherday.

4:11. Let us labour therefore to enter into thatrest, lest any man fall after the same example ofunbelief.
