    The International Immersion module is designed to give students insights into the economic, social, political and cultural life of emergingeconomiessuchasChina,Russia,BrazilandSouthAfricaordevelopedcountriessuchasSingaporeorSouthKorea.Asthefirstpartofthemodule,therearepre-immersionsessionsatIIMB.Industryandcountryspecialists,speakersfromtheMinistryofExternalAffairs,officialsfromthecountrytobevisited and other experts give lectures on the country, its society, economy and business opportunities.

    Theclassthentravelstothecountrytospendtwoweekshostedby one of the top local business schools. They attend lectures

    onthecountryseconomyandsocietywithspecificemphasisonissuesaffectingbusinessandindustry;goonfieldvisitstolocalplantsandcorporateoffices;meetwithbusinessandgovernmentleaders; and attend cultural events and visit historical sites to help them understand the intricacies of the country.

    Theclassisdividedintogroupsoffiveorsixmemberstoworkoncompany-basedprojects.TheystartthepreliminarybackgroundpreparationatIIMBandcompletetheirprojectsduringtheinternational immersion.
