WELCOME TO WORSHIP Merry Christmas! (Yes, it is still
Christmas!) God’s gift of love incarnate
has been fully revealed to us, a babe born in a manger among us,
who
embodies love for all of creation is here. Let us worship and
adore him,
let us shout it out from the mountain tops, that Jesus Christ
is
born! The gift of love has come, is coming, and will come
again.
So join us, as together we navigate worship, life, and ministry
during
this season of COVID-19, seeking community in both familiar
and
unexpected places. Our 10:00 a.m. live stream worship service
blends
traditional and contemporary styles and includes pre-recorded
videos
which provide an opportunity for members of our faith community
to
participate in new ways.
May the peace and wholeness of Christ be with you always,
~Pastor Keith and Pastor Ivan

A recurring email scam has resurfaced in our CPC community.
Several CPC
members report getting emails that look like they are from
Pastor Keith ask-
ing them to do him a favor which may involve purchasing gift
cards. THIS IS
A SCAM! Please do not purchase gift cards or send funds to
anyone who
asks you via email.
One way to find if a message is legitimate is to look at the
email address it is
sent from. If it’s not the address you associate with that
person, do not reply
and delete the message. And if you’re in doubt, pick up the
phone and call
the church office or your friend!
BEWARE OF EMAIL SCAMS
If you are going through a difficult time, whether it be because
of iso-
lation, job transition, personal loss, or anxiety in the time of
sheltering
-in-place, consider asking for a Stephen Minister. CPC’s
trained, car-
ing Stephen Ministers will listen and walk alongside you as you
deal
with life’s challenges. Contact one of our Stephen Leaders to
see
whether Stephen Ministry is the answer for you or call the
confidential
line 916-486-0604. During this time of social distancing, our
Stephen
Ministers are trained to provide confidential care over the
phone.
YOU DON’T HAVE TO FACE IT ALONE
Stay tuned after the worship live stream today to see a video
from your Wor-
ship Division showing how our virtual worship services are put
together.
Thank you our audio/visual technicians and web/YouTube experts
who
spend many hours each week preparing to make virtual worship
services
possible.
