And so this is where I should be now Days and nights falling by Days and nights falling by me. I know of a dream I should be holding Days and nights falling by Days and nights falling by me. Soft blue horizons Reach far into my childhood days As you are rising

Great Journey Heavy, through the storms Long Journey Look through the storms] 11 Exile Cold as the northern winds In December mornings, Cold is the cry that rings From this far distant shore. Winter has come too late Too close beside me. How can I chase away All these fears deep inside? Chorus: I'll wait the signs to come. I'll find a way I will wait the time to come. I'll find a way home. My light shall be the moon And my path - the ocean. My guide the morning star As I sail home to you. Chorus Who then can warm my soul? Who can quell my passion? Out of these dreams - a boat I will sail home to you. 12 Orinoco Flow Let me sail, let me sail, let the orinoco flow, Let me reach, let me beach On the shores of Tripoli. Let me sail, let me sail, Let me crash upon your shore, Let me reach, let me beach

When the evening falls And the daylight is fading, From within me calls Could it be I am sleeping? For a moment I stray, Then it holds me completely Close to home - I cannot say Close to home feeling so far away As I walk the room there before me a shadow From another world, where no other can follow Carry me to my own, to where I can cross over Close to home - I cannot say Close to home feeling so far away Forever searching; never right,

I am lost in oceans of night. Forever hoping I can find memories Those memories I left behind Even though I leave will I go on believing That this time is real - am I lost in this feeling? Like a child passing through, Never knowing the reason I am home - I know the way I am home - feeling oh, so far away 14 The Longships Hi-ri-u Ho-ro-ho Ho-ri-u Him-o-ro-ho Hoireann is oro Tá muid beo Him oro ho Go Deo na ndeo [We are alive Forever and ever ] 15 Na Laetha Geal M'Óig Ag amharc trí m'óige Is mé bhí sámh Gan eolas marbh Bhí mé óg san am. [Looking back at my youth I was content Without dead knowledge I was young, without time Now I'm sorrowful Those days are long past Sadness and loss The great days of my youth They were full of expectation The great journey that was before me then Happiness was in store for me] 16 Storms in Africa (Part 2) Though I walk through Warm sands in Africa Winds will grow soon To storms in Africa. How far to go I cannot say. How many more Will journey this way? Dark skies fall on Black earth and ivory. Far from your sun Clouds now close over me How far to go I cannot say. How many more Will journey this way? Storms have come! Rains wash the earth away Dark skies fall down Into another day. Rains have now come From storms in Africa Time will go on Through Storms in Africa

17 Caribbean Blue Eurus, Afer Ventus... So the world goes round and round with all you ever knew. They say the sky high above is Caribbean blue. If every man says all he can, if every man is true, do I believe the sky above is Caribbean blue. Boreas, Zephyrus... If all you told was turned to gold, if all you dreamed was new, Imagine sky high above in Caribbean blue. Eurus, Afer Ventus, Boreas Zephyrus, Africus... 18 How Can I Keep from Singing? My life goes on in endless song above earth's lamentations, I hear the real, though far-off hymn that hails a new creation. Through all the tumult and the strife I hear it's music ringing, It sounds an echo in my soul. How can I keep from singing?

While though the tempest loudly roars, I hear the truth, it liveth. And though the darkness 'round me close, songs in the night it giveth. No storm can shake my inmost calm, while to that rock I'm clinging. Since love is lord of heaven and earth how can I keep from singing? When tyrants tremble in their fear and hear their death knell ringing, when friends rejoice both far and near how can I keep from singing? In prison cell and dungeon vile our thoughts to them are winging, when friends by shame are undefiled how can I keep from singing? 19 Ebudæ Amharc, mná ag obair lá's mall san oích, Ceolann siad ar laetha geal, a bhí, Bealach fada anonn's anall a choích. [Look, women working by day and late at night, They sing of bright days that were, A long way back and forth forever.] 20 Angeles Angels, answer me, are you near if rain should fall? Am I to believe you will rise to calm the storm? For so great a treasure words will never do. Surely, if this is, promises are mine to give you. mine to give... Here, all too soon the day! Wish the moon to fall and alter

Page 8: Enya Ungodly Music

tomorrow. I should know heaven has her way - each one given memories to own. Angeles, all could be Should you move both earth and sea Angeles, I could feel all those dark clouds disappearing... Even, as I breathe comes an angel to their keep. Surely, if this is promises are mine to give you. mine to give... 21 Book of Days One day, one night, one moment, My dreams could be, tomorrow. One step, one fall, one falter, East or west, over earth or by ocean. One way to be my journey, This way could be my book of days. Ó lá go lá, mo thuras, An bealach fada romham. Ó oíche go hoíche, mo thuras, Na scéalta nach mbeidh a choích. No day, no night, no moment, Can hold me back from trying. I'll fly, I'll fall, I'll falter, I'll find my day may be, Far and away, Far and away. One day, one night, one moment, With a dream to believe in. One step, one fall, one falter, Found a new earth across a wide ocean. This way became my journey, This day ends together, Far and away.

This day ends together, Far and away. Far and away. (Ó oíche go hoíche, mo thuras, An bealach fada romham. Ó lá go lá, mo thuras, na scéalta na mbeidh a choích. ) [Translation From day to day, my journey, The long pilgrimage before me. From night to night, my journey, The stories that will never be again.] 22 Evacuee Each time on my leaving home I run back to my mother's arms, one last hold and then it's over. Watching me, you know I cry, you wave a kiss to say goodbye, Feel the sky fall down upon me! All I am, a child with promises All I have are miles full of promises of home. If only I could stay with you, my train moves on, you're gone from view, Now I must wait until it's over. Days will pass, your words to me, it seems so long; eternity, but I must wait until it's over. 23 Marble Halls I dreamt I dwelt in marble halls with vassals and serfs at my side, and of all who assembled within those walls that I was the hope and the pride.

I had riches all too great to count and a high ancestral name. But I also dreamt which pleased me most that you loved me still the same, that you loved me you loved me still the same, that you loved me you loved me still the same. I dreamt that suitors sought my hand, that knights upon bended knee and with vows no maiden's heart could withstand, they pledged their faith to me. And I dreamt that one of that noble host came forth my hand to claim. But I also dreamt which charmed me most that you loved me still the same that you loved me you loved me still the same, that you loved me you loved me still the same. 24 Afer Ventus Mare Nubium. There was happiness But that departed It was he who followed you Your husband The great love in your life He guided me Be with me always Day and night Chorus Lamenting the great loneliness The sorrowful tears Asleep in the quiet green grave In a deep peace I think of the day That you were beside me Telling a story Of the old life I remember the day Without want and without gloom Be with me always Day and night]

26 Anywhere Is I walk the maze of moments But everywhere I turn to Begins a new beginning But never finds a finish I walk to the horizon And there I find another It all seems so surprising And then I find that I know Chorus: You go there you're gone forever I go there I'll lose my way If we stay here we're not together Anywhere is The moon upon the ocean Is swept around in motion But without ever knowing The reason for its flowing In motion on the ocean The moon still keeps on moving The waves still keep on waving And I still keep on going Chorus I wonder if the stars sign The life that is to be mine And would they let their light shine Enough for me to follow I look up to the heavens But night has clouded over No spark of constellation No Vela no Orion

The shells upon the warm sands Have taken from their own lands The echo of their story But all I hear are low sounds As pillow words are weaving And willow waves are leaving But should I be believing That I am only dreaming Chorus To leave the thread of all time And let it make a dark line In hopes that I can still find The way back to the moment I took the turn and turned to Begin a new beginning Still looking for the answer I cannot find the finish It's either this or that way It's one way or the other It should be one direction It could be on reflection The turn I have just taken The turn that I was making I might be just beginning I might be near the end. 27 Pax Deorum ..domineoveniteosacramentum- (discesm)eodeo domineoveniteosacramentum- (discesm)eodeo domineoveniteosacramentum- (discesm)eodeo.. 29 China Roses Who can tell me if we have heaven, Who can say the way it should be; Moonlight holly, the Sappho Comet, Angel's tears below a tree. You talk of the break of morning As you view the new aurora, Cloud in crimson, the key of heaven, One love carved in acajou. One told me of China Roses, One a thousand nights and one night, Earth's last picture, the end of evening Hue of indigo and blue. A new moon leads me to Woods of dreams and I follow. A new world waits for me; My dream, my way. I know that if I have heaven There is nothing to desire. Rain and river, a world of wonder May be paradise to me. I see the sun. I see the stars. 30 Hope Has a Place One look at love and you may see It weaves a web over mystery, All ravelled threads can rend apart For hope has a place in the lover's heart. Hope has a place in a lover's heart. Whispering world, a sigh of sighs, The ebb and the flow of the ocean tides. One breath, one word may end or may start A hope in a place of the lover's heart. Hope has a place in a lover's heart. Look to love you may dream,

Page 13: Enya Ungodly Music

And if it should leave then give it wings. But if such a love is meant to be; Hope is home, and the heart is free Under the heavens we journey far, On roads of life we're the wanderers, So let love rise, so let love depart, Let hope have a place in the lover's heart. Hope has a place in a lover's heart. Look to love and you may dream, And if it should leave then give it wings. But if such a love is meant to be; Hope is home, and the heart is free. Hope is home, and the heart is free. 31 Once You Had Gold Once you had gold, Once you had silver, Then came the rains Out of the blue. Ever and always. Always and ever. Time gave both darkness and dreams to you. Now you can see Spring becomes autumn, Leaves become gold Falling from view. Ever and always. Always and ever. No-one can promise a dream come true, Time gave both darkness and dreams to you. What is the dark; Shadows around you, Why not take heart In the new day? Ever and always. Always and ever. No-one can promise a dream for you,

Time gave both darkness and dreams to you. 32 La Soñadora Yo; el otoño Yo; el véspero He sido un eco. Seré una ola Seré la luna He sido todo, soy yo. Yo; el verano Yo; el ébano Soy la soñadora. Chorus: On my way home I remember Only good days. On my way home I remember all the best days. I'm on my way home I can remember

34 Only If... When there's a shadow, you follow the sun. When there is love, then you look for the one. And for the promises, there is the sky. ..And for the heavens are those who can fly. Chorus: If you really want to, you can hear me say Only if you want to will you find a way. If you really want to you can seize the day. Only if you want to will you fly away. When there's a journey, you follow a star. When there's an ocean, you sail from afar. And for the broken heart, there is the sky. ..And for tomorrow are those who can fly. Once, when night seemed forever I was with you. Once, in the care of morning in the air was all belonging. Once, when that day was dawning I was with you. How far we are from morning, how far we are and the stars shining through the darkness,

falling in the air. Once, as the night was leaving into us our dreams were weaving. Once, all dreams were worth keeping. I was with you. Once, when our hearts were singing, I was with you. 44 Pilgrim Pilgrim, how you journey on the road you chose to find out why the winds die and where the stories go. All days come from one day that much you must know, you cannot change what's over but only where you go. One way leads to diamonds, one way leads to gold, another leads you only to everything you're told. In your heart you wonder which of these is true; the road that leads to nowhere, the road that leads to you. Will you find the answer in all you say and do? Will you find the answer in you? Each heart is a pilgrim, each one wants to know the reason why the winds die and where the stories go. Pilgrim, in your journey you may travel far, for pilgrim it's a long way to find out who you are... Pilgrim, it's a long way

to find out who you are... Pilgrim, it's a long way to find out who you are... 45 One by One Here am I Yet another goodbye! He says Adiós, says Adiós, And do you know why She won't break down and cry? - she says Adiós, says Adiós, Goodbye. One by one my leaves fall. One by one my tales are told. It's no lie She is yearning to fly. She says Adiós, says Adiós, And now you know why He's a reason to sigh - she says Adiós, says Adiós, Goodbye. - she says Adiós, says Adiós, Goodbye. One by one my leaves fall. One by one my tales are told. My, oh my! She was aiming too high. He says Adiós, says Adiós, And now you know why There's no moon in her sky - he says Adiós, says Adiós, Goodbye. No Goodbyes For love brightens their eyes. Don't say Adiós, say Adiós, And do you know why There's a love that won't die? - don't say Adiós, say Adiós, Goodbye. - don't say Adiós, say Adiós, Goodbye. - don't say Adiós, say Adiós, Goodbye. - don't say Adiós, say Adiós, Goodbye.

46 Lazy Days Lazy old day rolling away dreaming the day away don't want to go now that I'm in the flow crazy amazing day One red balloon floats to the moon just let it fly away I only know that I'm longing to go back to my lazy day And how it sings and how it sighs and how it never stays And how it rings and how it cries and how it sails away..away...away....

[Out of night has come the day. Out of night, our small earth. Our words drift away. Our words journey to find those who will listen. We call out into the distance... We call out into the distance... We call out into the distance... We call out into the distance... Less than a pearl in a sea of stars, we are a lost island in the shadows. It may be our words become lost. It may be our words find nothing, find no-one. We call out into the distance... We call out into the distance... (repeat)] 48 Amarantine You know when you give your love away it opens your heart, everything is new. And you know time will always find a way to let your heart believe it's true. You know love is everything you say; a whisper, a word, promises you give. You feel it in the heartbeat of the day. You know this is the way love is. Chorus Amarantine... Amarantine... Amarantine... Love is. Love is.

Love... You know love may sometimes make you cry, so let the tears go, they will flow away, for you know love will always let you fly -how far a heart can fly away! Chorus You know when love's shining in your eyes it may be the stars fallen from above. And you know love is with you when you rise, for night and day belong to love. 49 It's in the Rain Every time the rain comes down, close my eyes and listen. I can hear the lonesome sound of the sky as it cries. Listen to the rain... Here it comes again... Hear it in the rain... Feel the touch of tears that fall, they won't fall forever. In the way the day will flow, all things come, all things go. Listen to the rain... (the rain...) Here it comes again... (a-gain...) Hear it in the rain... (the rain...) Late at night I drift away I can hear you calling, and my name is in the rain,

leaves on trees whispering, deep blue sea's mysteries. Even when this moment ends, can't let go this feeling. Everything will come again in the sound, falling down, of the sky as it cries. Hear my name in the rain. 50 If I Could Be Where You Are Where are you this moment? Only in my dreams. You're missing, but you're always a heartbeat from me. I'm lost now without you, I don't know where you are. I keep watching, I keep hoping, but time keeps us apart Is there a way I can find you, is there a sign I should know, is there a road I could follow to bring you back home? Winter lies before me, now you're so far away. In the darkness of my dreaming, the light of you will stay. If I could be close beside you, If I could be where you are, If I could reach out and touch you and bring you back home. Is there a way I can find you, Is there a sign I should know, Is there a road I could follow, to bring you back home to me?

The river holds the lost road of the sky; the shape of eternity? Who knows the way it is? Who knows what time will not tell us? Where is the beginning? Where is the end? Why did we fall into days? Somewhere there is someone keeping all the tears they have been weeping, someone said goodbye, but you don't know why. Is there a reason why a broken heart begins to cry? Is there a reason you were lost although you don't know why? Give me a reason why you never want to say goodbye. If there's a reason, I don't know why. Always looking for a meaning, all the time you keep believing, but I don't know why you won't say goodbye. Even when the sun is shining you don't see the silver lining, but I don't know why you won't say goodbye. Is there a reason why a broken dream can never fly? Is there a reason you believe and then you close your eyes? Give me a reason why you hide away so much inside. If there's a reason, I don't know why.

Is there a reason why a broken heart begins to cry? Is there a reason you were lost although you don't know why? Give me a reason why you never want to say goodbye. If there's a reason I don't know why. I don't know why. I don't know why. I don't know why. 55 A Moment Lost It's only now, when words are said that break my heart in two, I wonder how you can endure all I've said, all I say to you. How strong, how brave, how true of you to bear the hurt I gave. I know it tears your heart in two; all I've said, all I say to you. After all the words are said, after all the dreams we made; ev'ry one a precious one, ev'ry one a summer sun... A moment lost, forever gone, can never be again, so know how much it means to me; all you said, all you gave, all your love to me.

56 Amid the Falling Snow How I remember sleepless nights, when we would read by candlelight, and on the windowpane outside a new world made of snow. A million feathers falling down, a million stars that touch the ground: so many secrets to be found amid the falling snow. Maybe I am falling down; tell me, should I touch the ground? Maybe I won't make a sound in the darkness all around. The silence of a winter's night brings memories I hold inside; remembering a blue moonlight upon the fallen snow. Maybe I am falling down; tell me, should I touch the ground? Maybe I won't make a sound in the darkness all around. I close my window to the night. I leave the sky her tears of white, and all is lit by candlelight amid the falling snow. And all is lit by candlelight amid the falling snow. 57 Water Shows the Hidden Heart Er-rhee-mo may nay Say la na or-ro Pirr rro say a nna A-he rhay Pr-ma na so la Be-o so bay hey Abr a-ma rhay na A-he rhay o rhay mr-hee mo-ay. 26 Oriel Window 27 The Comb Of The Wind 28 The Promise 29 Willows On The Water In Enya’s music is found sun, moon and star worship. The cyclic instrumentals indicate the New Age belief of reincarnation. The Memory of Trees album has Enya wearing a robe worn by witches and Satanists (refer to the dressing of Anton LaVey, founder of the church of Satan) as though insufficient, Enya is depected enthroned as a godess. Largely the lyrics originate from sources such as classical mythology, which naturally are greatly pagan. I once comforted myself and played tricks with my conscious by ‘setting my heart at rest’ knowing that Enya is a Catholic. It does not matter what her affiliation is, her music is ungodly. Satan seeks to sift the righteous away from Jehovah the God of all Creation, and this is but one avenue; drawing people that they might seek after other gods. Sun worship, moon worship, star worship, whatever form it may take, whether one refers to things as earth, wind, fire and water, is idolatry and is sin of the blackest dye. Weigh the lyrics, the content and its interpretation, look with eyes led by the Holy Scriptures of the one true God and the guidance of God the Holy Spirit and you will see that this music is only a part of the passing pleasures of sin and separates blinded individuals from the God of Heaven. If you are a Christian, beware of the music you listen to. Wander not after other gods. What does it profit a man to gain the whole world but lose his own soul. Seek not after the passing pleasures of the world. Let what you listen to glorify God your creator. Worship God alone, none else.
