What: this is a dirty river in Imam

Bonjol. Why: People throw rubbish everywhere.

Who: the people who passes usually

throw the rubbish there and also the

residents.Where: this place is located in Imam

Bonjol in Surabaya, Imam Bonjol is

located near Jl. Kartini When: I think people start doing this

when they are lazy to throw their

rubbish and ‘Waste’ in the right place.

How: we can fix this problem by,

reminding each other to throw the

rubbish in the right place.

Page 3: Environmental issues

What: There are so many plastic bags which

takes million years degrade.

Why; people are not using bags that are

reusable, they used plastic bags. Plastic

bags are not so strong materials so if we put

something heavy it will make a hole and

then we cant use it again.

Who: Well actually most people use plastic

bags everywhere.

Where: pandegiling is located near to imam

bonjol. When: people use plastic bags usually when

they go to the traditional market, usually

the shops in the mall has bio degradable

bags but I don’t think they really that mush

go to the mall because I can see from the

quality of the houses are not so good.

How: we can actually help this problem by

using bio degradable bags/ tote bags/

shopping bags (anything that is reusable)

everywhere we go.

Page 4: Environmental issues

What: Rubbish everywhere in the river of

Petemon kali. Why: I think people throw rubbish here because

they think it is okay to throw rubbish to the river

but actually the fishes can die, it also flows to the

sea. So the sea animals can also die eating the

rubbish and they will be Poisoned and some of

them are already endangered.

Who: people who lived by the river throw it inside

the river, sometimes if people pass they throw

the rubbish on the street since they usually throw

food wrappers and plastic bags the wind could

easily blow the rubbish in the river. So they ‘re

also guilty.Where: Petemon Kali is near Jl. Tidar and Jl.

Bromo, in the TP area. When: after eating food that has wrappers they

throw it in the river or the street then the wind

blows it to the river. How: we can help solving this problem by

throwing rubbish in the right place.

Page 5: Environmental issues

What: This is a flood in Jakarta area.

Why: the flood happens mostly because

people threw rubbish everywhere so it

covers the drain and when the rain comes

the water cant go into the drain because

it’s blockedWho: people who eats things with plastic

wrappers and passes this area usually do

this because maybe they don’t want their

vehicle to be dirtyWhere: this flood is located in Jakarta area

When: when people eat plastic wrapped

things and they are to lazy to throw the

rubbish or they don’t want their vehicle to

be dirty. How: we can help this issue by placing

small rubbish bin in our car. We can also

start by throwing rubbish the right place.

Page 6: Environmental issues

What: The road is full cars and

motorcycles and pollution filled the air.

Why: because families used separate

vehicles to go to the same destination

Who: people who lived near Basuki

Rahmat or people who lived in

surabaya area does this. Where: this environmental issue is

spotted near Basuki Rahmat road in

the Surabaya areaWhen: when families are going

somewhere in separate vehicles this

happensHow: we can easily solve this issue by,

reminding our parents to use 1 car to

go somewhere.

Page 7: Environmental issues

What: extreme windy weather in Sidoarjo

area blew off a palm tree and hits utility

poles. Causing a massive damage

Why: usually extreme weather happens

because of human activities that cause

Global warming, example green houses,

riding too much vehicles, ect.

Who: actually everyone in the world does

this it effects to the temperature of the

Sun.Where: this case is spotted in Sidoarjo

area. When: this happens when people do

things that hurts/ harms the environment.

How: we can solve this problem by taking

small actions. Maybe we can start by not

using plastic bags or riding bicycle to near

places or maybe sharing vehicle.

Page 8: Environmental issues

What: people are using trees as

recreational (outbond) places.

Why: they do it because it doesn’t

hurt the environment and people can

stil have fun with nature around

them Who: everyone can have fun with

this area starting from kids to adults.

Where: this outbond location is in

treetop in tretes area. When: people come here when

they’re having holidays with family.

How: it helps save the environment

by using nature to entertain people.

Page 9: Environmental issues

What: A supermarket called super Indo

in Citraland area, is having a program to

save the environment, by asking

customers to use reusable bags and get

special offers. Why: they do it so people can take

action for the environment but they also

get money for selling their reusable

bag.Who: everyone can shop using reusable

bag to help save the environment.

Where: This supermarket is located in

Citraland, near Bukit Golf area, it is

close to our school too! When: How: By having ‘Cash Back’ for

reusable bag/ shopping bag/ canvas bag

Page 10: Environmental issues

What: ‘Lumpur Lapindo’ is happening.

It is some sort of hot bubbling mud that

could kill any living things it just keep

coming out from the bottom of the

earth Why: this happens because people are

drilling oil from the ground.Who: a factory in the ‘Porong’ area drill

the ground to look for natural resource.

Where: this issue is located in Porong.

When: this started to happen since 200

How: we can help by not wasting

natural resource for everyday needs .

doesn’t mean we cant use them we

just need to use it more wisely so

people don’t dig up more.

Page 11: Environmental issues

(Jakarta Pusat) Why: it is because of extreme windy

weather. Extreme windy weather is usually

caused by Climate change and Global

warming it is because of human’s activities,

like what I say before people nowdays are

building green houses, lots of glass in

buildings, mirror house and many more.

Who: all people around the world actually

cause this happening including us!

Where: this is located in Jakpus ( Jakarta
