Environmental Data Management System UmweltOffice®/ TALAS

UmweltOffice® V.7 is a program system for managing and evaluating emissions data and data transmission to environmental offices. UmweltOffice V7 with TALAS/7 is the latest generation auf approved continuous emissions monitoring system from Siempelkamp NIS, With TALAS/7, Siempelkamp NIS is expanding its TALAS family with this modular, scalable system, characterized by compact design, enormous flexibility and high perfomance.

Emission of certain substances into the atmosphere-for example dust, S02, NOx, CO-is limited by the Emissions Protection Regulation. The type of data acquired, its processing and subsequent data transfer to the Environmental Offices and the report type are defined in guidelines that are specified by the responsible government department. Emissions monitoring systems must be TOV tested for suitability and approved. We have been developing and supplying computers for collecting and processing environmentally relevant data since the entry into force of the Large Combustion Plant Directive in 1985. Since that time, we have delivered more than 1500 systems, including 1000 TALAS for continuous emissions monitoring. We are certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001. TALAS/7 with the UmweltOffice® V.7 PC system is a complete, networkable system for continuous acquisition, storage and analysis of emissions data through all branches of industry according to the Technical Instructions on Air Quality Control (TA-Luft (Technische Anleitung zur Reinhaltung der Luft)), 13., 17., 27. and 30. BlmSchV - (German emission safety regulations). In addition, the system provides important information for environmentally sound and economical operation of production facilities. The manufacturer has designed the system for remote maintenance to reduce maintenance costs. • Qualification test by TÜV Rheinland • Approval by the Federal Ministry for the Environment for systems according to: Technical

Instructions on Air Quality Control (TA-Luft (Technische Anleitung zur Reinhaltung der Luft)), 13., 17., 27., 30. BlmSchV - (German emission safety regulations)

• Certified evaluation equipment according to DIN EN 15267 and MCERTS • Meets the requirements for EU Directive 2010/75/EU (IED) and DIN EN 14181: 2015-02

The system's network capability makes it possible to manage widely scattered locations via a central computer. The emissions values are recorded via local TALAS/7 data acquisition devices at the respective locations. Reports and evaluations can thus be created centrally and transferred to the State Environmental Offices. Data interfaces make it possible to integrate UmweltOffice® V.7 into the corporate IT environment.

Our Solution for small plants

TALAS/7 with UmweltOffice® sE V.7 is a powerful system variant and particularly suitable for emissions data acquisition at small plants that features an optimal cost-benefit ratio. The system consists of a PC in conjunction with one or more TALAS/7 data acquisition device(s). UmweltOffice® sE V.7 has the following limitations compared to the full version: • License for connecting of one

TALAS/7 software component (not expandable),

• License for one database server (for one installation, not expandable), maximum 12 analog inputs (not expandable),

• No remote emissions monitoring (EFÜ) interface or other special module

UmweltOffice® V.7 is the program system based on TALAS/7 for the managing, evaluating and remote transmitting emissions data. The programs meet the requirements of the current Technical Instructions on Air Quality Control (TA-Luft), 13., 17., 27. and 30. BlmSchV-(German emission safety regulations) and the relevant national guidelines.

UmweltOffice® V7

UmweltOffice® V.7 makes the following possible:

• Transfer of data from the performance-approved TALAS/7 data acquisition computers, such as 5-sec values, process images, half hourly averages and the TALAS/7 status messages.

• Data storage in a relational database The data are thus accessible to operators for developing their own applications.

• Access protection by assigning user rights

Users must first log in to UmweltOffice® V.7 with their name and password before using it.

• Visualizing the values through reports, bar charts and line diagrams. Data can be printed in report form for documentation purposes.

• Displays messages in the form of lists The user can restrict messages according to various criteria.

• The time for all connected systems is synchronized with the official time via a DCF77 interface.

• Data is transmitted from the measuring points approved by the operator to the responsible supervisory authority via dial-up lines or via the Internet (FTPES). Transmission takes place in accordance with the current German EFÜ directive.

UmweltOffice® V.7 displays its user interfaces in a web browser.

The TALAS/7 environmental data management system with UmweltOffice® V.7 PC system features versatile possibilities

All reports are created as PDF-files for on- screen viewing and download.

Data series can be displayed via CSV or XLS files and exported for further processing.

TALAS/7 modules with integrated software module TALAS/7-SK and local data memory process the recorded current values directly on site into physical measured values, short-time values, partial integrals and half-hourly averages and store them in a ring buffer. Coupled via networks, the various TALAS/7 input/output modules can be combined with each other in any combination and are thus flexible for realizing a wide variety of measuring tasks.

TALAS/7

The emissions data are transmitted via networks to the UmweltOffice® V.7 PC and are stored in the database for further processing the legally applicable emissions law, re-monitoring limit values and conducting the officially prescribed logging. Different interfaces allow a simple coupling of TALAS/7 on the most varied process control systems (Modbus TCP/RTU, Profibus DP, OPC DP/UA) TALAS/7 takes over analysis data from analyzers connected via digital interface in accordance with VDI 4201, page 3 (Modbus). The TALAS/7 modules can be freely parameterized for a wide variety of requirements in the UmweltOffice® V.7 web interface. The TALAS/7 modules can be accessed directly via the intranet/internet for service purposes via an integrated web page.
