Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety Unit OHS ALERT July 2018 All Raimondi Cranes - both luffing types and hammerhead - need to be thoroughly and comprehensively mechanically audited and checked to ensure there are no mechanical and operating problems and that they are fully compliant to all their manufacturer specifications. This follows the recent incident in Richmond when a Raimondi crane jib folded back onto itself during high winds, and a number of calls from concerned operators detailing a number of mechanical issues with these cranes - including the important function of weather vaning.
