Dilution rate will depend on the moisture content within the existing soil:

We can gauge the treated soil’s OMC (optimal moisture

content) by hand forming a ball with the soil. If the soil ball

can be formed without crumbling (too dry) or sticking to

your hands (too wet), OMC is reached.

Working of Envirogreen

Envirogreen when thoroughly mix into the

soil and compacted well will form a layer

of treated soil so dense it can resist water

infiltration both from the ground (below

the pavement) and from the surface as

well.

The ability to resist water penetration will

result in huge increase in road durability

with minimal maintenance requirement.

Area to be treated should be smoothed out and rocks and tree trunks removed and compacted. If there are any low spots, holes or bumps, it’s best to level them before proceeding.

Diluting Envirogreen & Filling The Water Tanker

Be sure the water tanker is at least partially full before adding any Envirogreen from the drum.

Sequence of installation

Step 1 Begin loosening the

soil with a

scarifier/rotovater to

a depth of about

100 mm

Step 2 Spray the loosened

soil with diluted

envirogreen solution .

Soil should be more

wet than OMC to mix

any lumps with

solution

Step 3 Blade the treated

material into a windrow

at the shoulder

Sequence of installation

Step 4

Repeat steps 1-2 for

the next 10cm layer of

soil

Step 5

Grade and shape the

bottom layer material

and lightly compact

Step 6

Blade the treated top layer

material onto the bottom

layer and continue blading

to shape and form the

desired contour / crown.

Step7

Begin compacting the shaped

and formed road. Use the

reserved material to fill in any

small holes or low spots.

Continue compacting with

full vibratory until the

installation is very tight and

then static roll for at least

one hour

Second Day

• Usually, the finished road can be re-compacted on the second day. One or two passes with vibratory followed by an hour or so of static rolling.

• If the weather is hot, a light spray of plain water is recommended to retard the curing process.

• In the meantime, the road can be opened to traffic.

• Note: If it rains the night before, it is normal to see the treated area being more soggy. The reason is that the treated soil is continuing to push out water from within while at the same time preventing water ingress. Thus water stays at the surface. Wait till dry, then re-compact.
