Beauty Courses at West Coast InstituteCERTIFICATE II IN RETAIL MAKE-UP AND SKIN CARE

Gain the practical skills and knowledge to apply make-up products in a retail environment. Apply make-up for a range of purposes, including photographic and camouflage of skin conditions to meet the needs of all clients. Learn skills in customer service, effective communication, demonstrating and selling products, designing and applying make-up. Working in a retail environment you will learn how to follow safety procedures and undertake housekeeping duties as well as be trained in ear piercing. CERTIFICATE III IN BEAUTY SERVICESGain the practical skills and knowledge to provide a number of beauty treatments and services. You’ll learn skills in customer service, effective communication, providing advice and selling beauty products, and conducting financial transactions. Also learn how to provide lash and eyebrow treatments, waxing, manicures and pedicures, nail art, designing and applying make-up, acrylic, gel nails and skincare. CERTIFICATE IV IN BEAUTY THERAPY

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who are competent in a prescribed range of beauty therapy treatments and services, make-up, waxing, body massage, and aromatherapy; as well as providing advice on and selling retail skin care and cosmetic products.

The above qualifications can also be completed via a traineeship. DIPLOMA OF BEAUTY THERAPY

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who are competent in a board range of beauty therapy treatments and services which may include facial massage, body massage, hair removal, spa treatments, lash and brow treatments, nail technology services, make-up, aromatherapy, providing advice on beauty treatments and services, selling retail skin care products and cosmetics.

The Diploma of Beauty Therapy is not suitable for an Australian Apprenticeship pathway.
