> Spectral Indices
> Simple tool that provides ability to compute 64 common spectral indices from EO/IR multi-band (MSI or HSI) raster datasets
> Exact number of indices that can be computed for a given input raster is based on its wavelength metadata
> Computation of spectral indices where band ratios using two or more bands are used to accentuate the spectral differences between materials
> Spectral indices provide a way to analyze materials in a manner that is not impacted by illumination or shadows and they have been used extensively in mineral exploration and vegetation mapping
> Ability to dynamically Preview the processing result before execution
> Implementation is multi-threaded with high performance processing
> Direct support for Enterprise (ArcSDE) Geodatabases via .sde connection files
> Improved user experience in the Remote Connection Manager
> ENVI now lists the same Enterprise (ArcSDE) Geodatabase connections as ArcCatalog's "Database Connections“ and displays the same UI dialogs from ArcGIS for establishing Enterprise (ArcSDE) Geodatabase connections
> Preferences - Mouse Wheel Zoom Direction control to match ArcMap behavior
> Send To ArcMap - Now sends original raster datasets with preservation of classification metadata and band combinations
ENVI 5.2 – Esri Interoperability
ENVI 5.2 – Miscellaneous Enhancements
> Classification Aggregation Tool
> Post-classification process that aggregates smaller adjacent class regions
> Regions-of-Interest (ROIs)
> Restoring an ENVI Classic .roi file in ENVI5 now maintains original geometry and does not convert polygons to pixels
> n-D Visualizer "Export All" now exports ROIs back to the ROI Tool
> Spectral Profiles / Plots
> Incremental tick marks and foreground/background color control
> Esri Projection Engine upgraded to version 10.2.2
> New "User Defined" option in the "Select Coordinate System" dialog
> Users can now define their own coordinate system and a corresponding geographic transform and they will be used in the Reproject Raster tool
> ENVIGridDefinition creates a spatial grid definition used to georeference rasters and vectors to a common coordinate system

> Fuze Go™ = commercial version of the patented UNB Pansharp algorithm for pan-sharpening EO/IR imagery (i.e. MSI + PAN image pairs)
> Fuze Go™ plugin for ENVI® is a Toolbox extension for a GUI dialog that facilitates execution of the Fuze Go™ software (sold separately) from ENVI5
> Fuze Go™ software must be purchased from Scene Sharp Technologies
> Plugin allows user to select input images, set processing parameters, specify an output file and optionally load the output image result back into ENVI5 application
> Plugin is supported in ENVI5 (no Classic) and only on Windows operating systems
> Benefits of Fuze Go™:
> Maintains signature accuracy and reflectivity values
> No data loss in the original multispectral image signature, which means the value of the image processing is additive to the analytics
> Process up to 30 multispectral bands advancing analytical capabilities from newer advanced multiband image data such as WorldView-3 with 16 bands
Extensions Library – Fuze Go™ plugin for ENVI®
NOTE: The Fuze Go™ plugin for ENVI® is not sold or supported by Exelis Inc.
