Enterprise

CAL

Standard CAL

A component Standard CAL is a base CAL that provides access rights to basic features of a server.

Example – The Exchange Server Standard CAL provides access rights for messaging, calendar, and contacts.

A component Enterprise CAL is an additive CAL that provides access rights to advanced server features. It can only be purchased in addition to the Standard CAL.

Example – The Exchange Server Enterprise CAL provides access rights for unified messaging, compliance, and hosted filtering.
