ART MASTERCLASS

This year Mr Deegan will be running an after school club for a small group of Talented students in Key stage 3. (Letters will be sent out for this club) The club will take place on Wednesdays in C203 for one hour and will start 20.10.2010, the week before half term.

Students will have the opportunity to work on large scale canvases in Acrylic paint, an activity normally reserved for exam groups. The resulting work will then be put on display in our exhibition.

Photoshop for Beginners Workshop

Open to School Staff & Parents of Pupils

In this workshop you will gain the skills to upload an image, adjust contrast, ad text and use layers.

Bring a photo of your own or use one of ours to create your masterpiece.

Any enquiries feel free to contact Miss Barber via the Art department.

Taking place Thursday November 18th, 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. Places limited to 15. A selection of the work produced will be sold at the annual Art exhibition.

Places on this one off workshop are limited to 15 on a first come first serve basis. All year groups and staff are welcome

Could you sell and promote artwork that you and others have created?This is great experience and will look fab on any

CV!

The after school workshops will be practical –making things to sell and also your chance to organise when you will sell these items.

You do not need to be the best artist in the world BUT you do need to have the willingness to use your own initiative and have a go?

You also need to be committed! And attend all meetings.

Maximum numbers of 20 so 1st come 1st served!!

Design a penguin Competition – Pick up your design sheets from student services on the 3rd January 2011. the winners will then help paint the penguin!! Good Luck – Hand in your entries to student services by 14th January 2011. (Organised by Mr Williams)

Remember GCSE pupils have access to the art rooms every lunchtime and at least one night after school – see your own art teacher for when this will be!

A level pupils can have gain access to the art rooms same as GCSE and during study periods
