+ Graduated Cal State Fullerton with B.A. in English and B. S. Child Development and Single Subject Credential in English
+ Masters in Teaching and Learning from Chapman University
+ 6th year teaching. Experience teaching from 6th - 12 grade. At MacArthur since 2017.

+ 6th Grade - Turning Point, Ancient Realms, Facing Challenges, Heroes
+ 8th Grade - Suspense, Moral Compass, Time of War, Civil War
+ Writing: paragraph and essay+ Narrative, Expository, Informative,
Response to Literature, Argumentative.
+ Digital etiquette and responsibility

Academic Expectations cont.:
+ Reading Counts:+ Every 2 weeks notes are due on
Wednesday. Tests on Thursdays+ 6th Grade Goal: 500,000 words+ 8th Grade Goal: 1.5 Million words
+ No Red Ink (Grammar):+ Online. 1 unit per month.
+ Google Classroom:+ Assignments. Projects.
Announcements. Quizzes. + Parents can sign up for weekly
email updates of student progress. Please email me if you are interested in signing up.
Classroom Management:
+ ClassCraft to encourage positive behavior in the classroom. Also counts towards citizenship grade and participation.
+ Each student chose a character (Warrior, Mage, Healer) with different responsibilities to their teammates.
+ Students can use points to earn armor/outfits/accessories/pets etc.
+ Leveling up will earn students classroom incentives like eating in class, extra day to submit homework, sitting with a friend, working outside etc.
+ Parents were sent home a code to monitor student progress. Please email me if you need more information.
+ Each team is responsible for a team website.
