It offers interdis-ciplinary degree programs in humanities in Warsaw, Wrocław, Sopot, Katowice and Poznań. Since it was established over 15 years ago, SWPS has become one of the most important and highly regarded Psychology centers in Poland. SWPS has a tradition of organizing regular scientific, popular and cultural events. The school has had the pleasure of hosting many renowned scientists, famous artists and media personalities. As a socially responsible institution, SWPS supports the development of art and culture with its regular ‘High Voltage Culture’ events.

You can get to the university from the city center by bus or tram in around 20 minutes. The uni-versity’s premises are found in the unique pre-war district of Praga, which year by year attracts hordes of tourists.

We Are Always Happy to Help You• If you do not speak Polish, do not worry! Our friendly and helpful team of international officers and student volunteers are always happy to provide you with comprehensive assistance that will make studying in Poland as problem-free as possible.

• We will pick you up from the airport or railway station, take you to your dorm or other place where you want to stay at, help with check-ing in at the dorm or looking for accommodation and then negotiat-ing/signing a rental agreement. We will give you a hand opening up a bank account or even finding a grocery store.

• You can always turn to our international officers if you have any health problems or need advice about anything else.

International StudiesWould you like to travel abroad, discover new countries and cultures? As an SWPS student, you have the opportunity to take advantage of foreign scholarships to any one of our 71 partner universities within the Erasmus Program. You also have the chance to study in

Korea (Hanyang University) and China (Beijing City University and Capital Normal University in Beijing).


Psychology students have the opportunity to spend part of their study program at our partner universities in the US (California State University) or the UK (Bangor University). You will then be granted an international diploma from SWPS and our foreign partner.

SWPS is a genuine international center of learning. We have over 200 students from 5 continents and 40 different countries.

Preparatory School: English and Polish Language Courses – Main Aims• improving your receptive (listening and reading) and productive (speaking and writing) skills;

• introducing specialized vocabulary for both Polish and English, which is a prerequisite for active participation in lectures and classes at SWPS;

• introducing you to Polish culture, history and society in order to prepare you to studying in Poland.

l i b r a r ySWPS is an institution that strives to meet students’ educational needs and de-mands. Apart from a highly qualified staff always willing to share their knowl-edge, we own a well-equipped library that, apart from books and magazines, has a wide range of e-publications as well. In the library, there are also many computers that are available for those students who need to work in silence.

All types of books and publications here are digitalized, which means that one can check online if a particular book/ magazine is available. Such a solution saves one’s time and energy and, in case something has been taken out, gives one an opportunity to manage the situation differently.
