Make-up Work and Late Work Policy

You have to find out what you missed. You have as many days as you missed to make up the work. Come in during tutorial, check the board, or look online for lesson information.

Tests and quizzes can only be made up during tutorial. Tests and quizzes must be made up in 1 week.

Smaller assignments will receive half credit, and larger assignments will receive a 10% deduction for each day it is late.

Plagiarism

Plagiarism is using word-for-word or in substance someone else’s work or ideas without giving proper credit to the source of the information. Acts of plagiarism in any portion of an assignment will result in a grade of zero for that assignment.

Students will not be allowed to resubmit an assignment that has been plagiarized. No exceptions.

If a student provides another student with an opportunity to cheat, that student will also receive a zero.

Movies

Watching movies in this class is an incentive

Should your class be misbehaving, your class will lose their opportunity to watch the movie, and will have to write an essay, do vocabulary, or some other tedious and unenjoyable assignment.

Tally Mark System

Participation Points (Also Not in Syllabus)

You earn 3 points each day simply for showing up on time, with your materials, and ready to go.

You will lose a point for being late, not being prepared, taking your phone out, etc. You can lose a point for any type of misbehavior or for breaking the rules.

I will keep track of who loses points on a roster, and I am not going to tell you when you lose points. If your misbehavior continues, you can lose points from the next class period as well.
