Day 1

Arrive at London Heathrow, early morning. Onwards to Dorset.

Let’s stretch our legs midway in the historic village of Shaftesbury for a spot

of tea, a smidgen of shopping and a walk to the famous Gold Hill for an

unparalleled view.

Onwards to our accommodations, Folke Manor, in the diminutive village of

Folke. The entire accommodation is reserved for us, enjoy charming country views and an indoor swimming pool. Refreshments upon arrival, then perhaps a rest?

Evening: Welcome dinner and cocktails at our B&B

Day 2

Adjust to country life with a leisurely breakfast before we head to the 16th c manor home and

gardens of Mapperton....... formal gardens,

sweeping views, romantic home. Remainder of the day is spent in local private gardens in

the nearby fairytale village of Netherbury

Evening: Pub dining

Day 3

Spend the morning in our local town of Sherborne, on your own, for great shopping, and walking. That

very day is the town’s monthly antique market. Chiffchaffs.....private cottage garden surrounding a

stone house, everyone’s favorite!

Lytes Cary Manor....A 13th (!) c intimate manor

home with inspiring gardens set around and beyond

Evening: Dinner in, Barbecue

Day 4

Sleep in, it is Sunday! After our breakfast, it is onwards to

Cothay Manor, the last private home in England surrounded by a moat.

We will tour the interior of this 14th c family home then the gardens followed by our personal light lunch in the gatehouse

Then an afternoon spent antiquing in local haunts filled with treasures!

Evening: A luxury Indian restaurant for a 10 course feast

Day 5

A truly personal day of creative women! First visit is to Fleur, an artist and

gardener extraordinaire in her pristine thatched cottage, see her art and her charming garden. We’ll walk to the village pub for a homemade bowl of

soup and country bread. Across from the pub is the magical home of Sue, a

renown floral arranger for a rollicking demonstration with Sue and her partner in a 15th c barn. We’ll carry on to the tiny village of Goat Hill to

visit Jenny. You will not believe what is in store; beautiful perennial

gardens, a visit in the picture perfect thatched cottage and a creamed tea by Jenny, a former caterer

Evening: “Festival of Britain”, a

village tearoom opens just for ourgroup to the delight of a 4 coursedinner celebrating the famous foods of Britain

DAY 6

Off we go to a full

day in Tetbury, a royal

village of upmarket shops and sumptuous antiques.

First visit is to the private garden of Madame Isaac de Perriere, a french

woman descending from Napoleon and the renown rose that is her family name. This beautiful french garden envelops a former 13th c monastery.

On to Tetbury for a full day of shopping on your own.

En route home, we will stop at the magical village of Lacock. The entire town

is historically protected. Home to many period movies. you will see how this village takes us back in time. Harry Potter filmed here too. Evening: dinner in a former coaching house in Lacock

DAY 7

Athlehampton house and gardens.......a family owned garden of note. The

ample manor home is open for viewing, resplendent in it’s victorian and earlier decor. The roomed gardens are artistry of formality, all set in a region called ‘The Piddles’, fairytale-esque. In a local village in the nearby “puddles” we will take a short and scenic stroll.

As time allows, we can take a wander around our village ‘Sherborne’ for last minute shopping.

Evening A farewell dinner in

Day 8A leisurely morning then onto London. Recommend an evening flight home.

Cost; single $3,990.00 double; $3,349.00

Includes;Transfers to and from London . Accommodations All entrance fees . Travel in a 15 person vanKitchen stocked with beverages; water, diet coke, coffee, wine and beer, plus nibbles . Inclusion is on a first come basis with a 50% deposit. Additionally, first

come basis has the opportunity to pre-choose your room.

Sylvia Benjamin and Debra Phillips, aka, tour operators’ indemnities;-additional costs due to strike, acts of nature, missed flights, illness, accidents-refunds will not be issued up to 2 months prior to travel-we maintain the right to cancel the trip due to lack of participants. We will refund the deposit made to tour operators, cannot be responsible for travelers transportation fees-balance payable in full by July 25th, 2013
