Many fields are located in remote regions with lack of any transport infrastructure and require special logistic approach to launch the project

winter road loading of oversized equipment

Some specific:

Example: cargo flow for oil field exploration, in thou tones

MORSTROYTECHNOLOGY

Severe climate conditions Seasonality of transportUneven cargo flow during explorationOversized and heavy cargo Lack or absence of transport infrastructureHigh risks and deadline restrictionsHigh construction and operational costs

CONCLUSIONS

http://www.morproekt.ru/ 1827.02.2015

1. Engineering design of infrastructure in Arctic requires in-depth analysis and planning of supply logistics for construction materials, equipment, and personnel. Construction of additional supportive infrastructure might be needed.

2. Artificial islands are a special area of focus in exploration of Arctic. Research and improvement of techniques of artificial islands’ construction will allow technological breakthrough for Arctic projects.

3. Ice and ice loads have substantial impact on marine structures. Modern methods of ice loads calculation may change significantly the type of marine structure and construction costs.

4. Permafrost condition also has great impact on structures. Depending on situation it may influence both positively and negatively.

5. Experience and knowledge acquired by Morstroytechnology allow to solve tasks of any complexity in Arctic conditions and optimize construction costs.
