A vacuum exhaust system must function before the printer operates. Make sure that the ventilation system forces at least 8 replacements of air per hour.
Lack of ventilation can cause poisoning, fire and explosion.

Do not connect the printer to the main power source unless all emergency switches are reset.
Do not deal with electrical components while the printer is not disconnected from the power source.
Only a certified electrician is allowed to do any electrical work.
Clean tiled or concrete floors. Anti-static carpeting or anti-static tiles reduce hazardous accumulations of static charge near the printer.

Do not touch a victim of electric shock.
Switch off the main power, or separate the victim from the electricity source – whichever is the fastest option.
Report and call for medical assistance.

Evacuate to ER immediately.

Read carefully the ink and solvent container labels. Take all safety measures, and learn first-aid instructions.
Warning! Most inks and solvents are classified as flammable!
Ink and solvent must not be exposed to heat or sparks.
Keep ink and solvent containers tightly closed in a safe cool place.

Inks and solvents are dangerous to the eyes! Protective goggles must be worn when handling ink, solvent or waste fluids. Keep an emergency eye-wash bottle near the printer.
Do not handle ink or solvent when wearing contact lenses without goggles.
Most inks and solvents are highly volatile! Use active-carbon mouth filters when pouring inks or solvents, or during machine cleaning.

Ink or solvent spillage is dangerous: it can cause fire and be a breathing hazards!
Avoid spillage, and soak up immediately any spilled or leaking fluids. Do not throw soaked-up fluid in the bin! Seal in polyethylene bags and dispose of waste materials in accordance with individual countries safety requirements.
Avoid poisoning by washing hands before eating, after smoking, and before leaving the site.

Dispose of waste liquids in a marked and closed container, located at least 25 feet from the printer.
Avoid disposing waste solvent and ink down the drain! These poisonous fluids can cause damage to the environment, and should be incinerated in accordance with individual countries safety requirements.

Be aware of the substrate roll’s weight before mounting it onto the loader (maximum load 200 kg).
Avoid lifting any heavy loads (max: 25 kg per person).
Lift rolls only with a specially designated lifting device.
Know the weight of the substrate roll and lifting capacity of the lifting device before mounting the substrate roll onto the printer.

To prevent injury:
Do not operate or service the equipment unless you are qualified to do so.
Do not operate the equipment unless safety guards, doors and covers are intact, and automatic interlocks operate properly.

Relieve pressure before adjusting or servicing pressurized systems or components.

Ozone is generated by reaction of short-wave UV radiation in air. It is a gas which readily reverts to oxygen when mixed with atmospheric air, as it is removed from the source of UV radiation.
Outlet duct concentration is 0.3 PPM in a typical system. Threshold limit Value is 0.1 PPM in working atmosphere.
