CEO / Co-Founder AwalNet (Largest Internet Service Provider-ISP) 1998-2002 ( Part of Al-Faisaliah Group , AwalNet became number 1 over 40 competitors)

ₒ The First General Manager of “AwalNet” (Al-Faisaliah Internet And Communication

Services). Join Al-Faisaliah to establish and manage its new Internet Company

ₒ Contributed to the establishment (Setting up the whole AwalNet from its startup until it

became the leader in the market thru Selecting the Right technology infrastructure, working

on hiring the right people and managing its daily operations including marketing/sales ) ,

Nowadays well-known brand name (AwalNet) was suggested as a name earlier by Eng.

Mansour and approved by the Group President, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin

Khalid Al-Faisal.

ₒ Created many added value portals and services for business and communities such as

linking email mobile through the Internet, direct payment online, the first Women Saudi

online site, Hammadi hospitals services from AwalNet site, family counseling service and

the first specialized news site belongs to ISP in 1999.

ₒ Mansour applied number of strategies lead AwalNet became the largest Internet operator in

the Saudi Arabia by the end of the year 2002 AwalNet succeeded to hold the leadership in

a market among 40 other competitor ISPs.

ₒ By the end of 2002, AwalNet has become the largest ISP serving business and government

sectors and then the retail sector.

ₒ AwalNet has got numerous awards and shields of appreciations because of its superiority as

an innovative ISP in the Arabian Gulf.

ₒ Accomplishment:

o Contribute to the merger of AwalNet with two other ISPs (Al Alamiah for Internet &

Communication Co. and Naseej Co. ).

o Accordingly, AwalNet has won the highest share of the merger because of AwalNet

dominated Strategy led to have the highest share of the corporate market, the number

of individuals users and the revenue ratio (AwalNet exceeded 75% and the

remaining was shared between Al Alamiah and Naseej).

o After the merger with Al Alamiah and Naseej, AwalNet has got the superiority

Saudi Arabia’s market.

o Mansour became the ambassador of Al-Faisaliah Internet Group to USA & Japan to

meet both AOL V.Ps and SONY to present the status/future of Saudi Internet Market

ₒ The market value:

o AwalNet continued to grow to the degree that STC has implemented the acquisition

of AwalNet for more than SAR100 million.

o AwalNet's staff under Mansour leadership became among the country leaders and

executives who are leading the large ICT and ICT companies.

Project Manager - Al Jeraisy Communications & Com" JCCS ") 1998-1996

(Project manager for SR 90 Million project in STC with over 250 employees)

ₒ In 1996 Mansour took a major part of the responsibility of management and operation of a

SAR90-million- project called (Telex, Al-Wasseet and Leased Lines) for the Ministry of

Post and Telegraph and Telephone “STC” (The project’s contractor was Al Jeraisy Group).

ₒ Achievements included:

o The successful management and operation of the entire project.

o Team leading of more than 250 employees to run 550 preparation sites of Data

Transmission Networks all over the Saudi Arabia.

o Managed the transfer the former contractor Bugshan’s project staff (250 employees)

to the new contractor I worked for (Al Jeraisy).

o Participated in the preparation of the project’s general plans and the selection of

experts and engineers from France (France Telecom).

ₒ Contributed to Al Jeraisy Internet project’s marketing and technical feasibility study

included Bahrain Telecommunications Services

ₒ Contributed to Al Jeraisy Internet Licensing preparation and presentation that lead to the

establishing of Al

Different Positions in MOPTT - now “STC” 1990-1996

ₒ Was the first sales engineer at the Ministry of Post and Telegraph and Telephone (later

became STC), the sales department of information services (Al-Wasseet and data lines).

Visiting over 200 companies and institutions in Riyadh.

ₒ In 1991 he was promoted to The Head of “Al Wasseet” sales department in Jeddah and do a

direct selling to more than 250companies in Jeddah.

ₒ In 1992 he was promoted again up to the Assistant Director of Information Services and

value added services in Riyadh

ₒ Between 1990 and 1996 he held various management positions in the areas of marketing,

sales and business development of VAS in STC "formerly Ministry of PTT."

ₒ Being part of Supervising the project of linking the first points of sales " POS" for Saudi

Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA), which included more than 20,000 point of sales.

ₒ 1993-1994: Supervised the project of linking airlines booking and reservations offices to the

international information network of airlines and hotels. (WorldSapn)

ₒ 1994-1995: Participated in studying & reviewing the projects proposals of majors local and

international IT companies such as "SITA, IBM, Sprint Network, Reuters , Dow Jones ,

AT&T and Network of Cable & Wireless.

ₒ 1996: Joined His Excellency the Minister of Post, Telegraph and Telephone in addition to

the vice president of King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology to present and

discuss the licensing of Internet Services to the Division of Experts at the Cabinet

(Council of Ministers), which was the cornerstone of licensing of Internet services in the

Saudi Arabia.
