    Ghana bought 6M bulbs and saved

    624megawatts within one year.

    We believe that if Nigeria replicate the

    NEXANSNEXANS

    ENERGY EFFCIENCY,LABELLING AND STANDARDS

    pilot project of 30million units we would

    have a saving of over 3000megawatts which

    can be ploughed back into the Grid.

    Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFL) developed to Americantechnology of the highest standards available. We have the

    capacity to produce the minimum of 12Millions lamps per

    ENERGY EFFCIENCY,LABELLING AND STANDARDS

    .

    Subject to foreseen volumes we are prepared to set up a

    factory here in Nigeria in due course to ensure continuous

    availability of our high grade products to the Nigeria

    Market. It is produced to the highest IEC standards.

    lamps all over the world with a typical presencenow in Morocco which is ongoing.

    LIFESPANLIFESPAN

    CFLs have a rated lifespan of between 6,000 to

    15,000 hrs

    When com ared with incandescent lam s which

    ENERGY EFFCIENCY,LABELLING AND STANDARDS

    are usually manufactured to have 750 - 1000 hrs

    Therefore, the average rated life of a CFL is

    between 8 and 15 times that of incandescent.

    The lifetime of any lamp depends on many factors

    including operating voltage,

    frequency of cycling on and off,

    ambient operating temperature,

    among other factors.

    COSTCOST

    Relatively competitive compared to that of

    equivalent incandescent lamp when oneconsiders the lower energy consumption

    and longer lifespan.

    By the end of their lives, CFLs can be

    expected to produce 75-80% of their

    original light output, which saves even more

    energy.

    CFLs are produced for both Alternative

    current (AC) and direct current (DC) input.

    DC CFLs are popular for use in recreational

    vehicles and off-the grid housing.

    CFLs can also be operated with solarpowered street lights, using solar panels

    located on the top or sides of a pole and

    light fixtures that are specially wired to usethe lamps.
